Where she still flies to this day and still wears the signatures (at least as of OSH ’03 she did)…let me get back home tomorrow and I’ll check my files, I’m sure I have some shots of her in the air you might be able to use…

Fantastic, Mint…can’t wait…it was a great show with some great flying and now, talking with Mike a month or so ago, he was so excited that the DVD’s were finally nearing completion that I just can’t WAIT to get my hands on this collection….gonna be great viewing…

I actually posted this same question of a different forum having to do with Japanese battleships and such about two years ago…the conclusions were much the same, that the Iowas would win the confrontation because of their superior fire control and rangefinding equipment and maneuverability, althought a good hit from an 18″ shell could negate that advantage if it hit in the right place on the Iowa, so the ship would have to keep maneuvering and avoid the larger shells of the Yamato class…but the overall conclusion was that the Iowas would win…and MOST CERTAINLY had the Montana class been finished and in combat against the Yamatos, it would have been victorious also…

Sounds like Steve is showing you two a GREAT time! Can’t wait to see the pics…I bet Vanessa loved the T-6 Ride. Got to chat with her when I tried to return your call…she sounds like a lovely person.
Hey…you didn’t tell me it was your birthday! 🙁
Happy Birthday to ya Andy!!! 🙂
Great pics Andy! Thanks for puttin’ those out there for us. Ahhh the memories. I remember walking around there seeing all those birds, the after-show gatherings, the spectacular flying. I didn’t ever care for the weather there…but that’s Texas baby. Glad you are having a great time…
Denise 🙂
Hey Andy,
You never told me you wear a hanky on your head?! 😉
You will have a great time in Texas, the accent there is great too, and the people are usually pretty friendly. Be careful if you eat in Breckenridge…they like to ‘tell you’ your eating steak but it may very well be an armadillo someone just ran over! Old joke from Breckenridge airshow days..ask Mark.
The show in Midland will be awesome…like they said…lots of explosives. 🙂
Get some great pics to share with us.
😀
HI Daz…I’ll hafta go thru my pics and do some scanning and posting! Don’t wanna letcha down now… 😉
Ashley, thanks for the welcome….so…Spitfire polisher? Stories to tell about this? Got my interest.
Hi Steve,
Oh no…no dancing here! 😉

Yes, having been involved in aviation photography for about 14 years now, it’s safe to say I have been many places, met many people, photographed many planes, and have had some of the most memorable experiences of my life! I think the people involved are my favorite part (besides the planes ofcourse!) because at the shows or events they are all there to enjoy the atmosphere, they are having fun joking around, talking about planes and experiences they’ve had. I have been able to just sit and listen to the WWII vets talk about missions they were a part of. I feel very privledged indeed. 🙂
Hey guys,
Thanks for the warning about the email..new to this forum stuff. I did edit the messaage and took that out. I’m learning… 😮
OK…I feel dumb now. I read where your from Papa Lima, and it’s not England. I have never been to Sweden…but I am sure it’s fantastic there as well! Hopefully one day I will be able to visit your country also. 😉
Thank you all for the warm welcome! Glad to be a part of this madness. 🙂
Had a fantastic day today. Went up flying today doing an air-to-air photo shoot with my partner Mark of 2 T-6’s and Mustang! Using the pics in a future publication so cannot post them on here yet. 🙁
Felt great to get into the action again, it’s been awhile.
Andy…was great to talk to ya…hope your trip is going well and that you and your wife are having a GREAT time!
Glad to be aboard! Oh…and I enjoy England as much as you do the USA Papa Lima. 🙂
