Pounds yard Portsmouth
Hi
Here is a shot of Pound’s scrapyard now cleared. Once the grass area was filled with ww2 armour 50ft high in places. Find I spend time virtually searching out airfields or in many cases the ghosts of them. One site that I really want to check up on used to contain tons of forgotten aircraft spares but the resolution drops about 1/2 a mile from it. I will keep an eye on it. With areas of south west Wales covered in high res are there any wreck sites that might be visible in the hills. Virtual prize for the first one spotted.

THIS IS the wierdest
The Daimler Benz Project B. Very very strange indeed. Produced a 1/72 scale kit of it some years ago and it was huge.

After the battle mag
Hi
There is an in depth (as only after the battle can do) article on the Russelheim? death march in issue 57. Macabre tale but not an infrequent event. Those resposible tried for war crimes after war. Searched for it but cannot find at the moment. Note to self- DO NOT LEND MAGAZINES TO FRIENDS. Will have another look as I am sure it contained an overview of the whole subject as well as this particular incident.

Hi
Hi
I was a bit suspicious as well about most aspects of it. Taking reference from the YAM Halifax or the pictures that I have available of it have led me astray more than once. In this case though it would seem that they might not be wrong. The drawing posted by 682al and the photograph that can be seen ( on the table) in the larger version of the pic that i posted both support its placement there. Maybe there were different fits depending on when or who produced the aircraft. Anyhow in a bid to proceed its built and glued in now with just the wheel to paint, a bit of wiring, window polish and a curtain until the radio opps compartment is finished.
I really am looking forwards a post saying you have finally got one Cees. How long have you been looking now?
Here are a couple of pics

Hi
Thanks I was a bit suspicious of the colour. Just as well as I have not got that colour in my stash anyway.

Thanks
Hi
yes that would figure. Still a bit suspicious about the colour though. Cannot find any shots of this in NA337. Pic is from YAM Halibag and these have led me astray before.

How many of you have heard of this then?
Hi
Here’s a different slant on the Hughie Green story. How many of you have heard that he was involved in a rightwing coup attempt in the seventies. This is one of the fascinating stories that comes up on the Robert Elms show on BBC London. Others such as Giro the Nazi dog, the running man of Peckham and the shops that never open start of with a question from a listener and develop. The fact that these tales are true is what makes them so bizzare and engaging. Here is a link to the area on the BBC site. Its not written up but I am sure I can get more info.

For one thing
Hi
for one thing tell him he can kiss your a*se if he thinks he is getting any rent. Better still say nowt, have no communication with him at all just dont pay. It will take him more than 2 months to evict. If he wants to play the scum bag how about a new hobby, its called saw through as many floor beams as you can without the lot colapsing, liquidised fish into any hidden space you can find. I realy would not pay though. Do you think he will have your full deposit waiting for you when you leave if you play the game. I think not. Best of luck anyway

Hi Peter
Hi
could I use the pic of your Halifax panel on my site of Halifax pics.

Great work. Will be doing art work in order to photoetch some bits for my model today and this will certainly help.
Thanks
