Tanks all
Hi
Thanks BLR great pics. OK to eventually put them up on site? Whatever its faults seeing the pictures of were they started from helps show the magnitude of what they have achieved so far.

Building full of aircraft parts
Hi
The best (only) find I made was as a young sprog. There was an old storage building alongside a canal in the north west of England that most of us kids knew about. Access was difficult as the towpath was on the other side ad the building was isolated behind other buildings on its own side. This isolation is what preserved it. In the late seventies/ early eighties I remember getting in under a fence and being faced by a plain brick nondecript building. Once inside the place was full of aircraft and tank parts. The boxes were stacked nearly to the roof at the ends of the building falling to the centre which was a pile of opened boxes. You could dig into the undisturbed areas and find boxed new aircraft altimeters and instruments of all types. Most guys Had Tank whip ariels on their cars. I must have had about 20-30 various aircraft instruments at the time but alas all now are gone. I have a weeks holiday soon so hope to get of my arse and check if it is still there.
Also I remember heading up to RNAS Blackcap (Stretton) on a mission to dig up a Bofors barrel from a pile of concrete and scrap. There was much dissapointment when it turned out to be no more than a Piece of gas pipe Doh!

Peter looks good. Will be going in the flight engineers compartment of my 1/48 Halifax. Mounted horizontaly but looks as if it would work. An obscure topic but how about a photo thread about internal fittings on vintage aircraft.
The precise design of the toilet paper holder in the halifax has been of interest to me for some time but there again I am a bit wierd.
Thanks

Thanks all

MORE MORE MORE. Coming allong well. Quess you cannot get inside anymore. Model on hold until I can get shots of finished cockpit starboard wall pilots and F.E’s. Everyone update your anti virus as I have had one hell of a weekend. Picked up a brand new virus on friday 5pm by 6pm computer completely locked. Took day and 1/2 to retrieve pictures and music then had to wipe hard drive and reload everything. ARSE ARSE ARSE. Problem was anti virus had no fix as was new that day and took a day to get into computer to update. I would have been stuck but had help from a friends friends in Japan, Holland and the states. They are code writers and techies. It was far beyond me. Thanks all another couple of days and I should be up and running.

Hi
Hi
turret boy. Meant trenton. Still getting over 72,0000 very very very drunk Scotsmen at the weekend so heads in a bit of a state at the moment. Any more of your super pics would be welcome. Only a few more festivals to go and I can get on with some modeling.

Fuel cocks
Hi
This is one of those areas where YAMs halifax may have lead me astray. Have built what is shown in photo for addition later. The groundwork for many of the areas I am working on now are based on stuff 3 years ago. NA337 pics were a bit thin on the ground then. Will have to stay with the version I have modelled as its a bit late to grind out an opening for the levers. What do you recon to the YAM fuel cocks. If they are not right where did they get the idea to fit them? Currently working on the starboard side wall.

Thanks

Hi Cees
Hi
One of the main points of concern here is the review which does not seem to relate to the kits that others have recieved. Over on ARC there are pics of some of the parts posted by an angry buyer. There sure are LOADS of areas on my model that are wrong and I am sure there will be a few more before I am finished but I am not asking you to pay$90 or £65 for it. Sadly they all keep me awake at night. Probably was a bit harsh and brett gave his opinion of HIS kit.
When I started out all I had was pics of the YAM Halifax downloaded on the sly at work as I had no computer. Thanks to yourself and others I know a LITTLE more. Although it always seems just after I have done that area. Aint it allways the way. What I have gathered I share. With free web space available it seems wrong not to. Many people shelling out this money on mail order are in for a shock. You and Ian and others know far more about Halibags than myself and theres only so many times I can bug you all for pics. Though now may be an oportune moment. Below is a link to some pics of the parts. Rest assured though that if I do produce some sets you can have them for all your great work in various lakes and down deep holes in fields etc. By the way happened upon a pic of two gents in rubber today Cees and Elliot. Wet and in rubber! Thought I was on a rather different sort of website for a minute. How long have I been calling it NA377? Must be that brake fluid I drank.

Not really
Hi
Not really p—ed of as the FM kit must rate as one of the worst kits ever released. For example the canopy; Totally wrong in shape, moulding rubbish, rear section has two bracing bars that run INTERNALY depicted as frame bars on the outside so no fix for that. Decals wrong colour, tyres look as if they are both flat, Turret interior completly made up. Shame one big missed opportunity.

Missing equipment
Hi
Its the bits of equipment that would go in the two empty racks. Have made the other items shown. Also the fuselage wall opposite the FE’s station, all the rest is very much covered thanks to you chaps. The problem with the exellent reference that is now available is that nearly all preceeding work was based on the YAM example or guesswork. I am having to resist the temptation to go back and alter or add parts that now I have a clear view of. Its sad but these things keep me awake at night. Must remind myself that nobody will be able to see any of it anyway once the two fuselage halves are together.
Thanks
Phil
?????????
Take that as a no you have not then. Shame the RAF Museum??? Any one else got any. Cees any AP scans?? please. Regarding the Wellington from the scotish Isles ask rocketeer may know how to contact Mike Davey who I believe lead the expidition and is a keen cockpit fester like himself.

Thanks Guys
