pembroke ownership
Is this the Air atlantique (classic flight) Pembroke or is it owned by the bournemouth Aviation museum?
It looks very nice!
Stieglitz
No it’s not Air atlantic’s pembroke. WV740 is privately owned and based
at the bournemouth aviation museum.
another airworthy aircraft
Marvellous ! I remember the 32 Sqdn Pembrokes grinding out of Northolt in the early 80’s, just about the last pistons to be seen there , apart from the odd Nordatlas.
We are very lucky that there are still some private enthusiasts prepared to spend huge sums to keep these machines in the air. Thanks, and long may it continue.
Just two flyers left now I think, this and the AA one at Coventry.
we are also getting a sea prince ready to fly again WP321 also from bournemouth.its going to be some time yet hopefully later this year.
i will post more on the progress as things happen.
pembroke cockpit picture
Do you have any cockpit interior photo’s please ?

painting help
Looking VERY nice!
Fancy doing our Prince next? 😉
Jon
I could get you the info about the paint with is about £15 per litre. also give you the inside on how we painted the aircraft over three weekends.
well done
Good luck with the project, its a big task. i am part of a team looking
after a pembroke and sea prince so i know what hard work you putting into
the project. the owner of the aircraft is also looking at a prince to join the
collection.
Bournemouth aviation museum
thanks for deleting the duplicate post.
The bad news is if we can’t move to the other hanger the collection
will have to be broken up which would be a shame.the volunteer’s have
put so much into the museum to make it what it is today. all that hard
work would be lost for good.plus the owners of the flying aircraft will
have to find new homes.
Closure of Bournemouth Aviation Museum
The latest news from bournemouth aviation museum is that unless we can
find some rich investors the museum will close for good on the 16/12/2007.do any of you know anyone who could help?if so call the museum asap.
Bournemouth aviation museum
Is BAM moving there aswel? And thank you for the infomation aswel Nick:cool:
James
Yes the museum will have to move.it’s going to be a major job but it should
make a great story for the magazines. we have had offers from other airport
users with help, as soon as we find out more it will post it on the site.
sea prince move
Nick, when is WP321 going to be lifted over the fence? Keep up the good work.
Well, the latest news is that it will not be lifted over the fence now.
as you may or may not know the museum is going to have to move
to make way for a carpark.Early in the new year when this move takes place
we should be able to drag her out.we are going to be on the north side of the
airport behind FRA. we will be sharing with De Havillands.

Bournemouth aviation museum
lastest news from the museum is that we have been offered a hanger
on the north side of the airfield,as yet no date has been set for the move.
we will still have airside access. but so much is still has to be sorted first. when we know more we will contact all the magazines for help and support.we may be able to take aircraft that we were not able to take before.
plus there is more of a chance to get lottery funding on the new site.
This would be the one at Bournemouth…
Flyboy, would you be the talented painter who was rollering the red on the nose when the Sea Vixen was out showing off her new colours a few months ago?
If so, Hi!, you were spotted. If not, your mate was doing an alright job!
John
hi john, if you mean the red on the sea prince i am the quilty party.

Thanks for the replys, if any one is going to coldrose on 1st august we will be there with the pembroke and a stall to help the cause.come over and see all
the latest pictures inside and out.also have a look round the pembroke. if we could get spare seat cushions that would be good, if not we may have to get new ones made.
