I really loved the Mirage F.1 with the square intakes posted on page two. I decided to take the idea a little further and present you the stealthy Mirage FX :diablo:
F-35, F-22, PAK-FA – come on be seriouse. It does not matter the least whether it is on par with them or inferior because huge interstate wars are impossible in today’s world. The only thing this bird will ever kill are some third world rebel camps, in case it gets exported…
Looks like you’re going to build the same model I plan to build! I have attached some images for you. The first is from ACIG, the Air Combat Information Group, the second is from Americo Maia, and the third from Claveworks Graphics.
..which have all based their profiles on this very decal sheet you want to use. Sorry guy but so far no single piece of photographic evidence for this machine has appeared.
NK does have MiG-21MF bought from Kazakhstan. There are even some photos. But I agree, the one above is a PFM
Yaks still have white stars on the wings and as far as I know the Abkhazian L-39 with the badge was a fakepic of an Afghan one.
Abkahzia’s air arm is a rag-tag air force, this is why there is no standard insignia.
Both Aero L-39s and Yaks still used the faded stars.

I love these realistic “vs” threads that just make so much sense. How about doing “Papua New Guinea + Israel vs Battlestar Galactica” next?
Mind however, that Abkhazia’s “insignia” tooo is a faded out Soviet star, which turned to white.
Whatever happened to the planned Ghauri III?
Well perhaps they were refurbished for Iran itself.
Still buying up them as part of a more complex deal could make sense.
After all Algerian MiGs were seen in Ethiopian colors in Ukraine, although that country too has its own stocks.
Hm I don’t think it is a real Iraqi Su, the picture was obviously taken after 1991 and even the Belorussians would not have been that bold to overhaul one of Saddam’s aircraft outisde Iraq. I rather think they acquired old Iraqi Su-22 parts from somewhere to refurbish/rebuild new planes. From where? Iraq I don’t think so, the planes we saw were just in too bad shape.
Could it be possible Iran instead sold some of the Iraqi Fitters, which were evacuated to Iran in 1991, to this company which then refurbished them and resold them to Angola?
Ver interesting find! The Mig is actually a MiG-21bis and what stund me is that i has the very same camo and the very same stlye of serial as Ethiopian MiGs (position of the roundel is nonstandard for Sudanese fighter jets too).
There has to be some sort of connection.
That’s a Chinese BA-5 target drone, see

Yes, that was my first thought, but there is one pilot missing. Is it possible that he flew a trainer like an L-39 on his own?
BTW, Yemeni L-39s have been overhauled and upgraded with new avionics by Ucraine. Not sure, but IIRC some of them have been converted to the light attack role. Could be one of them perhaps?
Yemen uses the export version alread equipped with underwing pylons, so no need for any conversion. L-39 are surely much better suited for COIN ops than MiG-29s so I can well imagine the accident was combat-related.
If we give them something like F-16s, Blackhawks and the like, then as soon as we leave, they would just end up grounded or sold off.
Or end up in Taliban hands…
