This parade amazes me again and again, does anybody know how much it actually costs?
BTW Chávez has announced that he will travel to Russia as soon as possible, I think we can expect some fancy new contracts :diablo:
Pit I know it’s a quite delicate question, you don’t have to answer it. Do you know how the pilots for the Su-30 were choosen? Was it about their experience or rather about their political opinion? (imo this is something way more important than some radar details)

Amazing pictures!!! Man the Su-30MKV looks awesome in those…they dont seem to have any weapons on-board yet, I wonder if the Venezuelans will be getting the R-77 and all the A-G gear (Kh-29TE, Kab-500kr/L, Kab-1500, Kh-31A/P, Kh-59ME) that the PLA got? if they do then the AMV will have (at least on paper) some very sharp teeth for a South American nation…
It will be very interesting to see what kind of armament they will purchase in the future. I think we really can expect some high-tech weapons as Venezuela has the necessary cash and since it would be a good oppurtunity for Mr. Putin to retaliate upon the US for penetrating Russia’s sphere of influence (not my opinion but that’s the way he’s thinking).
8 are already in the country and flyable

BTW is the Su-30MK2 capable of firing the Moskit or the Yakhont?
post-WWI Silesia, and anything in early Cape Verdean markings.
What do you mean with post WWI Silesia? Do you have in general more information about post WWI German military aircraft? Supposedly the Bavarian Red Army as well as the German internal police had some fighter bombers (the latter one allegedly used them against a communist insurrection) but I have been unable to dig up any more information up to now.
Quite some pictures of Lebanese gun-pod equipped Gazelles, used during the fighting:

I still wonder why the relatively strong Libanese army doesn’t have a real combat-capable air component, especially when you consider that even countries like Ivory Coast and Congo operate Su-25s and Mi-24s.
Just found those…

Are that rocket launchers on the Aviocar? If yes that would mean that the Panamanian air-force had at least some fixed-wing combat capability.
so who is it in South America that wants to attack Russia? Oh yeah, NOBODY.
You still believe that strategic weapon-systems are only made to fight war? Man you missed a lot I can tell you..
quite an interesting roundel nevertheless..
I can’t wait to see them in Venezuelan colours, especially with the “long-range air-to-ship missiles :diablo:
Some vidcaps of the first RMAF Su-30MKM
😀
Why didn’t Venezuela buy this version and went for a canard-less Su-30 without thrust-vectoring nozzles?
Apparently, Equatorial Guinea and Gabón, have some “differences” about some small islands in the Gulf of Guinea,Obiang knows that his country is on disavantage with Gabón, and he´s trying to build up an air force.
Mirage F-1AZ´s in gabón and Mig-23´s in Equatorial Guinea, like in Angola in the 80´s.
2 Hinds, 2/3 Mi-8/17 and 4 Mig-23´s are far better than nothing.
Thanks for your explanation that’s really interesting although I somewhat doubt that both airforces would actually be capable of intercepting each others’ aircraft. Now let’s just hope we see some pics soon.
Considering the fact that one of the biggest threats to Obiang is an airborne mercenary-invasion that could make sense…
