Hey Fabe !! Where did ya find this one? You almost gave me a startle lol…:diablo::diablo:

Truly interesting to see the burmese junta teaming up with N.korean commie filths to fuxk up our trusty yankee ally.

Care to leave the URL here? Are you receiving me?????

A pdf leaked to Burma’s democratic opposition. The photos were all taken in 2008, odd to see the F-13 still in service.
The MiGs are nice but in my opinion the color photo of a Nodong missile is even better 😮

You know what it says? Those Iranian guys approached the nudist part of the cruise ship to watch the girls. So much for Islamic values in the Iranian military 😀

Today a “foxhole or hardstand” is no longer a real option to survive the fire-power from smart-weapons as the Taliban and some others did learn the bloody way.

Problem is, if you don’t know where the foxhole is you can’t bomb it.

I love how people are just assuming that the 2-3 kiloton device that was detonated has to be a test device and that they won’t build bombs that small. A small scale bomb could be employed by asymmetric forces, detonated in economically important (read: fishing) ocean areas, there is a lot you can do with one. Assuming that the DPRK has to build them a certain size and has to stick them on missiles is asinine.

The idea that NK’s warheads are too big to be useful in military way is one of those claims reported so often that in th end they become truth. Who tell us they weigh thousands of pounds? The Pakistani’s already have nukes they can put on their Ghauris (identical to Nodongs) I wouldn’t be surprised if something about their design was leaked to NK.

    It is possible

    Thesis, substantiation, proof (if possible)

It is known that they do not possess a weapon small to mount on a missile

The problem is everybody copy-pastes that statement but we do not have any real confirmation this is true. Pakistan has already developed a nuclear warhead for its Nodong missiles (Ghauri) and I wouldn’t be surprised if something leaked. Probably not the whole design but still they might not have to start from scratch.

No one, not even the US, could effectively destroy North Korea’s missile force. There are little missile launching sites but rather lots of mobile launchers.
The campaign against Iraqi Scud launchers was already a failure although the part of Iraq they were launched from was a plain desert. NK’s missile force is much bigger and North Korea has hills quite some vegetation and lots of tunnels where it can hide the TELs.

Those Angolan L-29s are baffling thanks a lot!

Regarding Zimbabwe I start to believe the lack of pictures might also be caused by the country’s desolate economic situation. After all so many African pictures were taken by traveling businessmen or cargo pilots (like in Angola). most Zimbabwean photographs seem to be either really old or made during air shows.

Some nice Dominican Vampires from the Trujillo era.
The brutal megalomaniac “jefe” Rafael Trujillo (who even renamed the capital to Trujillo City) made the tiny country’s air force one of the strongest in Latin America buying no less but 50 Vampires! (in addition to B-25, A-26s, Mosquitos, Beaufighters, F-51s, P-38s, F-47s, T-33s, lots of T-6 and even B-17:eek:). Pictures from this time are rather scarce unfortunately.

Really weird the US decided to sell Hellfire-Cessnas to Lebanon so shortly before elections. After all Hizbullah could win.

Any idea on who won or who would have won in case of an encounter ?

That is close to impossible to say, it depends on the situation, geography (for fuel) situation, the version and pilot skill.
    for example:

South African Mirage IICZ vs Angolan MiG-21, Mirage will win without any doubt.

Gabonese radar-less Mirage F-1AZ vs Indian-piloted MiG-21Bison, probably the Fishbed will have an advantage.

I know the last encounter is veeeery unlikely but I just needed an example to make my point, even if it is a little absurd 😛
