Never seen any evidence of an Ivory Coast Su-25 neither Ethiopian one.

Ivory Coast uses Su-25s, quite a few people saw them and they were even mentioned on president Gbagbo`s homepage.

-flex: do you mean this one?

    Namibian K-8

hmm I don`t think it`s Namibian. this strange blue on the underside looks very much like the color used by the nigerian air force. and finally it`s called Namibia Defence Force Air Squadron (sometimes Air Wing) not Namibian Air Force. so why should they write NAF on their aircraft?

I don’t wanna get cynical here but it does not really matter whether Khaddafi sends over some helos with clusters or not. Tribal wars in Africa will continue anyway. If you got 20 mil food units for 30 mil people, the 10 mil people will have to die, that is cruel math. Those who don’t have enought strength to fight will die in a natural selection, the remainder will get killed in neverending wars. If you take Mi-24s and AK-47s away, they will throw wooden lances and stones… There will always be some kind of new Bashir, Amin or Bokassa, no so-called anti-terrorism campaign will make any difference here.. This all for a simple reason, no single wealthy citizen of a Western or Eastern world will give up even a part of his ownings to stop it.. We all even don’t want to know what is happening out there..

I dont know what idea you have of africa but killing 400 000 dissidents has nothing to do with tribal wars or food! Bokassa threw disabled people out of aircraft and libya helped these regimes to survive (at least for some time) with every day bringing death to hundreds or thousands of people.
and there is a difference between wooden lances & stones and mustard gas & cluster bombs!!!!!!!!!! well imagine it would come out that roosevelt sold VX gas to germany for the holocaust what would you think about it?
tribal wars will continue anyway.. if you take their vx gas and machine guns away they`ll throw wooden lances and stones… there will always be some kind of hitler… it really doesn`t matter if he sends over gas…

    2. There were many of them who were no better than the ones you have mentioned, only did not have that much of a chance to show it. Nobody here is that naieve to believe that Western or Eastern countries supported coup plots according to the moral qualities of their leaders, or am I mistaken?

of course they supported bad guys like pinochet and somoza that`s clear
but they did not support such monsters.

Idi Amin Dada killed over 400.000 people libya supported him even with own troops.

Bokassa eat the flesh of babies and killed at least 100 children who refused to wear a school uniform himself!

Omar Hassan al Bashir used cluster bombs and even mustard gas against his own people. Libya donated Sudan Mi-24, Mi-25 and Mig-23 which were used for such attacks

and not one of these countries annexated parts of other countries in the second half of the 20th century like libya did with the aozou dtrip

@srbin Libya never had Mirage III do you mean their Mirage V or F.1

Libya and F-16 or F-15? Get yourself righht, these two are the last aircraft they are interested in even if offers came today… Anyway, I don’t think French will bother even throw a look at some Bush’s list of *states supporting terrorism*. BTW, United States, Russia, France, UK, Czechoslovakia and many others have supported rebel groups and coup plots all over the world since decades. Should be added on the list, too?

1: well I said france would be the only western state that may sell aircrafts to libya. but even they fought war against libya.

2: yes they supported coup plots and rebels too but they didnยดt support monsters like Idi Amin, Bokassa and Omar Hassan Ahmed al Basheer.

I did so (mako) well of course libya could be a customer of the rafale or the mako but I think libya, that still belongs to the list of states supporting terrorism (there are rumors that they wanted to kill prince abdallah) and still supports rebel groups and coup plots all over africa, is still far away from being trustworthy enough to buy western hi tech jets like f-16 f-15 or eurofighter. i think no western state except france or italy (trainers) would really sell them military hardware perhaps a few c-130s but that`s all. you cant be islamic dictator and top-terrorist for years ,fighting almost every neighbouring country , shooting down us-planes, firing scuds against us bases and then say: hi Iยดm giving up all my WMD, please start selling me fighter-jets now. it`s not that easy

I think they should buy Mig-31s (they would be ideal for their long borders), The MAKO would also be a nice trainer and light attack aircraft
perhaps a few Kamov Ka-50 or a few Mi-24 MK-3 just like Algeria.

    15 Su-35
    40 Mig-29(9-13)
    20 Mig-31
    6 Tu-22 Backfire
    25 Su-24
    30 Su-39
    35 L-159
    35 Makos

and of course the same number of aircraft in storage for the next international isolation ๐Ÿ˜€

The type size was to show my amazement at the callousness shown by your arguments. I don’t care if it’s Siudan or Isreal, shooting down a harmless, fleeing private plane is wrong.

no you just don’t get it. it’s not important which state this does. but shooting down an unarmed plane is just a drop into the ocean compared to crimes comitted by aircraft in other parts in the world.
