Wow an Ivorian Su-25! In what numbers do they operate this aircraft?
Theybought two Su-25K single seaters and two Su-25UBK double seaters. The double seaters were heavily damaged by the French using ATGM after they had bombed a French base in 2004 killing nine soldiers. Look at gettyimages.com and search for Sukhoi Ivory Coast, there are several pictures of the two damaged ones. Unfortunately I don’t know whether they have been made flyable again.
A pre-delivery shot of an Ivorian Su-25 (the first picture, the second Su should be from Belarus) One of the few photographs showing one of those beasts intact.

Taken from the site of the official Belorussian arms export company. I still can’t decide whether to buy a Su-24 or a Su-27 :diablo:

Nice but the Abkhazian Mi-17s he posted are just as nice 😀
By the way, rather odd that Bangladesh refers to its A-5 Fantans as Attack-5.
The official gallery of the Bangladesh Air Force. Some really nice pics, especially of their elusive MiG-29s.

Thanks for the info, I stand corrected 😉
below the Libyan Mig-23
This is an Egyptian MiG-23, too. It has the eagle of Saladin in the middle of the flag, the old Libyan flag had a plain white stripe in the middle.
At least one BN ended up in a Chinese museum, most Egyptian Floggers were sent to the the US.
Angolan MiG-21 taking off and Su-20 after landing 🙂

GOOD NEWS!
European library Europeana is back again
there is a lot of French newsreel footage, I guess we can expect to find some very interesting stuff 😀
The Chadian SA-6 is very interesting and surely ex-Libyan. Judging from their configuartion their T-55s seem to be ex-Libyan too.
By the way, the Mirage is from gabon.
Approximately at the middle there are some shots of Ethiopian F-86s and T-33s, later on you can see an Ethiopian F-5 firing rockets and two flying in formation with two Hunters. It would be interesting to know how they met those Hunters. Some exercise I guess.

By the way, does anyone remember the source of this picture? I’d love to include it in the instructions for my new sheet.

There’s a Libyan Mirage behind the Zairean one. Quite funny when you consider there was a arms embargo on Libya from 1986 to 2004 :diablo:
I’m sure the Israelis (and Syrians) are quaking in the boots.
Actually you might be somewhat right with your derogatory statement. The Hunters are strengthening the government in the internal situation, something Syria has not been interested in the past (although fortunately relations have become much better).
The problem is when talking about fighter jets everbody just looks at their air to air capabilities although such missions probably constitute only 1% of all sorties flown (except yo count some Cessna drug runners) The Hunters can be a very effective weapon in the counter insurgency role, as demonstrated by the Rhodesian Bush war. So there really is no need for such arrogant statements.
Ghana’s K-8 Karakoram

What’s the thing hanging under this K-8? It looks like the standard K-8 gun pod, without a gun. Perhaps a recon pod?
