RE: Nasa
I *think* NASA have two of them. I’ll look it up, I’ve got the type specs somewhere…
RE: A pic from down under!
Yeah, I thought so to.
it’s an optical illusion from the angle, looks like the upper deck stretches to well over the wing, and the top of the fin isn’t quite visible, which makes it feasible that’s it’s a tall, SP, fin.
RE: Ryanair? No chance!
Yes, I agree.
My Uncle had to fly from Glasgow to Dublin at short notice for a job interview last year, and it was cheaper to go BA (actually EI codeshare) than Ryanair. Also, the hastle of getting to PIK made Ryanair unfeasable over GLA.
Although, easyjet now fly GLA-DUB, maybe the added competition has made a difference?
And yes, I don’t like 737s.
RE: Help please!!
UA code share with bmi on MAN-IAD (A330), and operate 767-300’s from IAD to Miami.
RE: Advise
dunno, New York would have been the obvious answer, but most flights are 777’s, or even 767’s, now…
RE: Pic Of the Day-01/03/02!!
nice plane, pity about the airport
RE: Help please!!
No, American Eagle is their regional subsiduary, like BA regional. Their biggest aircraft is, I think, the Embraer 145.
RE: Boeing Offers New 747-400X
Boeing once again* uses a 60’s design to try and counteract Airbus’ modern designs.
It’s just stupid.
*examples:
717 against 318
737NG against 319/320/321
747X against 380
767-400 (albeit 70’s technology) against 330
Boeing’s only all new deisgn since the 767 in the 70’s is the 777.
RE: Swiss looks to join OneWorld!!
I said last summer that Crossair would be joining oneworld. it just seems logical to me.
RE: BA – Which 10 routes are no more?
they did that in October.
RE: Airport Pic of the Day – 18/02/02
it’s one or the other… LTU’s home base is Dusseldorf, which is why I think it’s it…
RE: 800 People just miss death
jings!
Was that Air Traffic Controller taught in Italy or something?
RE: Airport Pic of the Day – 18/02/02
Duesseldorf?
RE: aua to kabul
I ti shonestly what it says. It quotes an AUA spokesperson as saying that Austrian wants to be the first Western Airline to resume flights to Afghanistan, although it is dependent on the Terminal building being refurbished.
RE: First Aircraft In Swiss colors!
It’s “Switzerland” in all the Ntional languages of Switzerland: German, French, Italian and Raeto-romansch.
