X-37 puzzle
Here’s another piece of the puzzle:
Target Drone
If it goes up against anyone with a plausable air force, or air defence system, it could provide some realistic target practice. Against barefoot tribesmen with nothing more than AK-47’s it could be very effective.
control tower kid talk
Kid looks at radar, then at Dad, and casually says:
“Daddy, what does it mean when two dots turn into one dot?”
Kim Jong still at it
We’ve been in a state of war for over half a century, but here’s more threats from Kim:
COIN Aircraft
Giving consideration to the COIN aircraft mission, I’d like to suggest dusting off the drawings for the P-47N.
It wouldn’t need the turbo prop — too complicated– the old P&W would do just fine. Oh, and make that 10 each .50 cal in the wings, no fancy expensive guidance systems or things under wings. The price would also be right and you’d be able to acquire as many as you had pilots for. And, yes, this is a serious post (I think).
What if Kim gives the U.S. a weeks notice to vacate, and that he’s then invading the South with conventional arms?
money mess.
Don’t blame the mortgage lenders. The fault lies in those investment houses that swapped worthless pieces of paper, legally cooking the books, for almost a decade while they all collected bonuses in the millions of dollars based on the false gains. Not one of them has to give back a cent of their fraudulent gains. Quite the contrary, a few of the companies are again paying off Con gressment from the government bail out money. All legal. They may have, collectively, killed the goose that lays the golden egg.

Be a good listener…..and that doesn’t just mean let her do some of the talking; a week later, hopefully on a second date, she’ll expect you to remember where she went to school, her sister’s name and whatever else she told you about herself. If you’re really interested in her remembering all this shouldn’t be difficult and an ‘oh, you remembered!’ is always worth points.
My two cents, for what it’s worth.
I like this one the best. As you converse try and find mutual interests.
Remember, when you are getting acquainted, expect surprises. For example, I met one of my wife’s distant realatives, a 40 year old female, and when I asked her what she was doing it turned out she had just retired from the USAF as a Captain after 20 years of service, starting out as an Airman Basic. But most of all if you want to move on to more dates let her do all the talking about herself and what her interests are, where she’s been, and be sure you compliment her on whatever she’s wearing. The more you remember the better off you’ll be.

Local Moth
While we’re on Tiger Moth’s,

jump
I think there is no fighter that represented a step change. While there are many designs that were able to outclass its predecessor by a margin, they always had downsides.
The biggest performance gap is probably between
1945 Mustang to
1950 Sabre to
1955 Starfighter.
[or corresponding developments in other nations]
Lets not forget the jump from that 1955 Starfighter to the Delta Dart and Semi Automatic Ground Envirnment (SAGE).
Natter and X-4
While we’re at it, here’s some nice clear video of the Natter and X-4.
Rhodesia
Using the correct name could be at least a start. Maybe if Henry Kissinger and his friends put the same effort into getting Mugabe out as they did getting Ian Smith out it would be a start.
