See on other forums that its confirmed what I had heard; pilot inadvertent gear up select as it vacated the runway. Was this Merlin 1 or another jockey?

    Who cares, xxxx happens.

    No probs.
Great to see Meier getting another one (well two) back on the road to airworthy conditions.

Just as an aside and with no intention of hijacking the thread, does anyone know where D-CACY is now?
From reading the assorted mags OFMC seemed very enthusiastic about restoring it back to flight given its genuine FAA pedigree.
Alas it never happened, for the moment anyway… 🙁

Believed to be in Australia as VH-SFY, for restoration?

I was wondering , are there not two airworthy Mustangs in Scandinavia ? N167F “Old Crow” in Norway and N405HC (SE-BIL) “It’s About Time” in Sweden.

Eddie, thanks for your reply. Is this modification a personal thing with operator’s/pilots? At least six other airworthy Mk.IX’s have the early style rudder, MH434, MJ730, MK732, NH238, TA805 and PL344 which has had the reverse modification.
