Good call….
Wow, so as far as i know that’s two aircraft at pubs – theres an old SAR Whirlwind HAR.10 somewhere, Essex i believe
The Whirlwind was at the Wheatsheaf in Rettendon, but I believe it has moved on.
Nice pics. Which Harvard was it?
Passed over Rettendon(Essex) about 3 .55.
I have been going to Duxford since 1984, and this is the first time I have had such a negative feeling to a show as regards to content and cost and to be quite honest it does not make me feel to good. Other things I noticed today were the incredibly cramped areas for the average punter, you know the ones that cant realy afford to get their spouse and kids into the exclusive areas and also if you are unlucky enough to be behind the Vulcan how restricted your view is and yes I do realise there is a bit of building going on which is also creating a space problem also what is it with this large area for the jets?
Oh, did manage to squeeze a distant shot of HAC’s Spitfire, not to brilliant but ok for a tease!
Check out, http://www.scramble.nl/showreports.htm under United Kingdom there are listings for various Finningley shows…
Is that Lindsey Walton’s ‘Me 108’ in the background of the Lancaster picture ?
John Romain came back with the HFL MkX1V Spitfire at about eight o’clock and gave an excellant display in the twilight, a couple of, not to brilliant, shots below.
Nice pics Gareth, any idea who owns the Storch?
A few more…
What if you’ve got a Spitfire but no middle initial? There’s a dilemma.
Not really James…for example…………….
