Would agree with comments regarding Martin Clayden’s site and would add to that Bernard Martin’s ‘Duxford Residents Checklist’.
What about making Martin’s site officialy the site for information regarding Duxford based airframes as a reward for the work he has put in so far. He seems to be succeeding where others have failed for one reason on another.
Duxford, July 9 – 10th any info?
Nice shots from yesterday at, http://www.duxford-update.info/
The boss should be air testing her today about 1300hrs weather permiting.
Did it happen? Any pictures anyone?
Nimrod AEW, at Finningley, not a clear shot, taken from the car on exit from one of their airshows.
Will go along with Chailey and Woodchurch for their relaxed atmospheres and content, of the two Woodchurch was slightly better in my oppinion because of its P51, F86 formation and also Mrs LAHarve has requested a return visit which is a big plus.
Thanks for your help Mike.
IIRC Steve the GRP replica is painted to represent ‘Sherman Was Right’ WZ-S, although the nose art was omitted due to the funding of the AAM coming from the opposing party to the wartime Sherman. Hmm… Politics eh?
The IWM plastic Mustang did have the artwork, legend applied during painting but by the time it was put in the AAM it was removed as can be seen in this pic.
Dont know if this will work, hopefully some of my pics from yesterday.
