If you want to talk about the pros and cons of the 109/Buchon start another thread it’s quite simple, maybe it won’t get side tracked by discussions about what is happening at Duxford, my personal opinion.

Obviously not a lot happening at Duxford so we have gone off thread to discuss the pros and cons of the 109/Buchon. Hopefully to bring the thread back on track a random shot from the past

How many GRP replicas were made, and what was there fate?

I suppose that, they could have swapped their complete Mustang for the one at Cosford, then we could all bitch about the lack of internal fittings etc

A couple more questions for any one in the know, what was the first privately owned airframe to arrive at Duxford for preservation/restoration? Also what was the first IWM airframe to arrive? Thanks in advance.

Any idea why the chin turret was not replaced on the B.17 ?
