Bump!
Thanks for the links, looks just what I’m after, but shipping is really expensive!
Is there a UK supplier of the disks, do you know?
Thanks again, MP.
That’s exactly the sort of audio I was hoping for from the sample you supplied.
Do you know if they have audio on the cd of parallel flying noise (not just static from a fixed point on the ground), maybe recorded from another plane?
Thanks for taking the time to reply, cheers, MP.
Quote: BTW: Has the UK produced a film where it lost the battle? (none come to mind..) If it did, did it make money in the UK ?
“A Bridge too Far” springs to mind.
Hmmm, ok, has anyone got the email address for the team?
Cheers, MP.
The very same 😉
It is a great story, so that’s why we made the film, cheers, MP.
I meant to add, I am creating about a 1-2 minute movie to show the planes demise, and how Machinima can be used to bring history back to life for a museum.
I am looking for some images so I can show the plane before (when crashed) and after, when brought back to life flying.
Thanks again for any help, MP.
Yes sorry, bloomin’ impatient film makers…sorry 😉
Spread the word though, it’s getting lots of very positive feedback, cheers, MP.
BTW…you did mean 600mb? Cheers, MP.
Thanks for the feedback. The word is spreading fast across the web.
So-far about 50 websites (maybe more) are discussing it, thought there would be a little more feedback here guys..come on, you know you want to 😉
Cheers, MP.
Excellent, thanks, looking forward to seeing it, cheers, MP.
I use CS2, and as has been said, it’s expensive, but the daddy!
However, if you want a free editing package, seriously go with The Gimp.
For absolutely no cost, it really can’t be beat!
In other words I concur with the others here, but I too have no experience with it, just loads of user feedback.
Cheers, MP.
It’s for this guy here:
http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2151814&page=1#Post2151814
who is trying to model in 3d generic streets and houses of the period for use in the next WW2 simulation called Battle of Britain: Storm of War, by Oleg Maddox.
He is looking for reference material so he can re-create them for use in the sim.
Cheers, MP.
All the responses are appreciated, but yes it was more the civilian architecture rather than military.
I will ccheck out the airfield book though as it sounds interesting, but yes more the the way roads and buildings and indutrial areas looked is what I amtrying to track down.
Thanks again, MP.
Thanks for your help, cheers, MP.
Digital Image of 120 Squadron
After finding this thread in the forums, it was great to see Peter Clare here.
Peter helped me out a long time ago, with some info on 120 Squadron, so that I could create some pictures. Two things have hindered my response to him.
1) My PC crashed and I lost all my archive material and email addresses…the lot.
2) The model I have had to work with is the B-24J, and I have limited ability in adding Side guns and Hard noses to the planes.
So with that in mind, here is the first in a series of pictures I am creating of 120 Squadron, but I ask you to forgive the incorrect model detail.
Hope you like it, there are two versions for download. one is 1280×1024, the other is wide-screen 1680×1050.
