I would say no, looks wrong on the crank end as it would not sit on a crank like V engines.

I am sure the Hercules also had a ring below the small end as well as 3 above possibly 4

I would say it from a normal inline engine

The relocation of the aircraft especially airworthy not to much of an issue, the lame duck a bit more of an issue but you engineers and key staff a large problem and finding an airfield with hangarage is incredibly hard, Biggin out, North Weald out, not big enough Hangars for ArCo or TFC as I said before, Bentwaters has its flying issues and Woodbridge still used by special forces but make a great Vintage airfield that could handle most things

yes Jeepman, only a year ago all the desk bangers would be demanding more answers, now although its got slightly busier the ones that spat their dummies out are to embarrassed to return.

I quite like it the way it is

I cannot see there will be a Legends type show in the UK in the future, Legends was a one off mainly because of its location.

Remember the old Biggin shows, North  Weald Fighter Meet and The Great Warbirds displays, Farnborough is a shadow of its former self, the American At Home shows now all gone never to return.

I think my age group had the best of the airshow times apart from the early pre WWII  where aviation was changing by the day, seeing basically squadrons of the latest RAF rides along with the odd warbird in the 60s to the growth of the big warbird scene of the 1980s onwards.

The owner opp has this year suffered by not only the fallout from Shoreham but now Covid keeping the minimal airshows down to zero for over the first half of the season and big impacts coming from that and the vintage ride aircraft loosing the funding that keeps them in the air.

I really hope there can be a replacement for Legends but I see the only viable place is Duxford as the reat of the site is part of the deal.

    Sad day

I think those who took the stance to leave still look in  from time to time and its hard for them to swallow their pride and return, once a couple start to return others will follow, I never left but could not post so just created a new account. Many hated loosing their thread counts, to me it means nothing, I stayed but just spend less time here for the obvious reasons but Its going ok just in the 30mph roads not the 150mph autobahns
