Id rather see these aircraft in the air representing their histories than not, no matter if only one bolt from the original was used in the build.
If I had the finances I would definitely have one built.

I, for one, don’t have a problem with, and indeed applaud, “new build” warbirds. What does not rest easy with me however is such builds assuming the identity of an aircraft that was excavated from a deep hole in the ground and then also claiming that aircrafts history.
Really? so how would you do it then, new identity?
There would be very few Spitfires around, even fewer Hurricanes.
So MH434, where do you sit with that Spitfire?
we need more Hurricanes

Hey BAILS !! or Hay Balls
We were discussing this just the other day. we came to the assumption its was the same when WWI got to 80 years it was getting forgot and since the 100 years, nothing.
You will definitely see a decline as the demographic of the country changes and to be honest, no one give two hoots about it any more.
we are the last as we had contact with those who fought, our grandparents and parents in most cases.
The world has changed, we had the best of it, we are wet nursed, told what to do, we even get told to watch out for 24 degree heat in the news.
Sad all very sad
Superb !!
