Sean – You are in the military iand you don’t know that Pakistanis are the root of terror and of all nations polled in the world hate America the most?
Ah actually Indians have some of the worst human rights issue, actually your religion promotes discrimination within the society…lets talk about untouchables?..a truly unique thing, Indian democracy ticks by killings its own people, you know thats how the parties won the elections in Gujarat, first they blame a fire accident train on muslims, than they kill 2 or 3 thousand muslims, burn them and rape them with the help of the police and government officials, then they deploy army, which is only a spectator, perhaps they learned a thing or two to how kill people in Held Kashmir, than the majority of the population finds it very comforting and vote for the Hindu extremists. Just imagine the mentality of the masses…sick and pathetic. Here we are talking about an incident, it could be anyone, there are plenty of afghan refugees in the region, but what we see in India is well..how the majority thinks.
Lets talk about India..the largest ‘demon’cracy on Earth. since this thread was taken off-course by Nomad and is not relevant to Airforce, and since mods wont take any action unless we bring India in, you know you cant depend on mods only if it is Anti-Pakistan.
SOC actually this Sunni-Shia rift created a civil War when there was indeed a huge Muslim state back in time.
One of the goals of Islam is to co-exist in peace with its Muslim and Non-Muslim neighbours, and only attack if attacked or things along that line i think.
Talking about detections, How big is the heat signature of BrahMos?
bit relevant to the topic…are their missiles like which hover over the surface of the sea….like cruise missiles..and then dive into the water and hit target underwater…more like cruise-torpedo kind of mix….?
“The site web-wings.co.uk has been disabled. Please contact support.” 🙁
Did you run out of bandwidth?
Q: Will the subs replace any of the old subs?
Q: When are the old subs planned to be replaced?
Lets not discuss Brahmos here.
I wonder which Aircrafts will carry the Air-launched version of Babur…
Phrozenflame, in that picture of black tomahawk can you tell me what are those glass like shapes underneath the head of the missile.
those blackish glass boxes you mean?
for DSMAC and TERCOM I think.
In 2nd picture, we cant see wings on the tail v. clearly, infact can we see them at all? and the bigger wings dont seem to be in that position as that of Babur.

We have seen this missile before in a chinese workshop, a link to the picture is posted on the first or second page of this thread.
Actually I posted that post, somehow its missing in the thread, I wonder why? And I talked of same picture you’re referring to and explain why its not Babur. Anyway sealordlawrence, you’re only putting 2-3 lines statements etc etc and flatly rejecting anything we post to refute your 1 line arguments, well you have all the right to reject it, and well since the pattern has developed already that you will be rejecting whatever we post anyways, (and you wont beleive I guess until you see anything for yourself, which, I’m sorry to say we cannot, thus you should look somewhere else for that) so perhaps I can suggest other respectable members to not wander away from serious discussions.

So Janes come to same conclusion as we came to one on the very first page of this thread.
Lets stick to the topic and discuss the missile. Give a rest to the name lol
Now 500 KM doesnt really measn we can attack 500 km away, the more strategic impact is we can give the missile more routes, more waypoints to avoid detection. Maybe they will attack a targat 100 km away, and the missile travelled say 250 km or 300km to strike it..thus increasing the max range to 1000km increases the flexibility greatly to choose a path.
Next thing is about usage which makes the above (fun) argument totally moot. When the Pakistan ISPR spokesman has officially said that the Babur missile can carry nuclear warheads, he has officially closed the book on any conventional use for that missile. Do you think that once a cruise launch is detected, India will sit and wait for the hit to see if it was nuclear? If Pakistan launches a couple of Baburs, it better be prepared to lose a fraction of its population before the news of the impact of Baburs reaches back home. The Indian draft nuclear doctrine is flexible enough to account for these types of scenarios where there is doubt. Those still in doubt in Pakistan can launch a Babur towards India and test it for themselves.
Pakistan will not just shoot Nukes blindly, there are certain conditions…lines that needs to be met, such as occupation of major cities, basically India will have to make sure it does not crosses these lines, else their is a risk of a Nuke war, before that there is no risk. *shrug* Nukes are our last line of defence, and we arent going to keep them for nothing. There will be only loosers in next war. Nukes are to be fired later in War…not in the beggining. So anyone with with low IQ would be able to figure out when a cruise missile is likely to armed with a Nuke or not. And let not forget they’ll be soon launching from Subs too…this changes the whole Nuke Game in the region.
As for Manpads, well *shrug* I mean if they were really that effective, the whole world would dedicate those as anti-cruise missile weapons.. ‘technically’ speaking MANPADs could shoot down Su-30MKI. Things are more complicated than simply technical.
Pak vows to improve nuke, missile capabilities

Islamabad: Marking its 59th Independence Day, Pakistan on Sunday vowed to improve its nuclear and missile capabilities while asserting that the resolution of the Kashmir issue was “a must for durable peace” in South Asia.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz hoisted the national flag at an indoor auditorium in Islamabad due to security concerns.
Without directly referring to India, he said in his speech that Pakistan would continue the process of improving its nuclear and missile capabilities to keep pace with the changing scenario in the neighbourhood, a day after Information Minister Sheikh Rashid stated that the country was on course to develop a 1000-km-range missile.
“The most recent example is successful test-firing of Babur cruise missile. It is a great responsibility to safeguard our independence. Pakistan today is a nuclear power and no one can cast an evil eye on our beloved country,” Aziz said.
Ahmad Ali Shah seems to be Another Indian trying to flame..I mean DUHH…star49 Part 2 lol
If Babur looks like the picture that you have drawn in flight then I know of only one missile that it resembles and thats no KH-55.
No one can possibly miss the resemblance between Babur and Tomahawk…it makes alot of sense…Pakistan certainly got something from the ones which fell in Pakistan… Love you Clinton =)
If Ghauri was little more than a robber..he wudnt defeat an army 8 times that of his size :p
