Tesla Coils didnt attack air π
BS!
One Scud fell into the sea near southern Oil Refineries, one fell (the anti-ship )near Souq Al Sharq (The mall) , it missed the target.. The Al Bayan Palace by few kilometres tho.
βWe have yet to reach that stageβ in the negotiations,”
thats why the ACM is going to Sweden in near future..to reach that stage π
its not inappropriate to mention maneuvrability..its not just concerned with evading missiles…
Phalcon is better than Erieye, Range isnt everything.
Government seeks Swedish radar system to match India: ISLAMABAD, July 14: Government, concerned over India’s plans to acquire a strategic radar system from Israel, is seeking a similar system from Sweden. Air Commodore Sarfraz Ahmed Khan, spokesman for the Pakistan Air Force, said talks were underway with Sweden over the purchase of an Airborne Early Warning System, but no final decision had been taken. A Swedish embassy spokesman confirmed that the matter came up for discussion when President Pervez Musharraf visited Stockholm last week. He said a Swedish parliamentary commission, which handles defence-related deals, had approved the sale of the radar system and it was now up to Pakistani authorities to decide. “I can’t say at what stage it’s at, but the negotiations have been going on for quite some time,” he told Reuters. Vajpayee govt blamed for defence budget hike
NEW DELHI, July 9: Indian Finance Minister P. Chidambaram was quoted on Friday as saying that a steep increase he proposed in the defence budget for the year 2004-05 was a one-time affair prompted by arms deals signed by the Vajpayee administration.
Mr Chidambaram told the Business Line newspaper that the Congress government had inherited certain commitments which should not be construed as an aggressive posture towards India’s neighbours.
Asked if India was becoming a big-time defence spender, he said: “No, it does not signal anything. On the contrary, we are committed to the peace process.” India is currently engaged in a peace process with Pakistan and China, following long stretches of uneasy ties with both.
“We took over an economy that was resilient, with very comfortable forex exchange reserves,” Mr Chidambaram said. “But we also took over when crude oil prices shot through the roof and the American economy was probably overheating.”
In reply to a question whether he had got empty coffers from the Vajpayee administration, he said: “There is no such thing as empty coffers – that’s just political rhetoric – money is a flow. But we were also handed over huge defence capital expenditure for defence.”
Asked why he had decided to double capital expenditure for defence, he said: “Those are one-time extraordinary demands, contracts have been signed. But except for the post-Kargil year, please look at defence capital expenditure, it has virtually stagnated.”

Also 30 million a piece!! it was estimated..total deal would cost around ~7 Billion remember?? I read it on this forum…and that kind of makes sense as well..but 3-4 billion doesnt ticks the logic…??
the nose…loooks kind of flat instead of round.. like su-34..
any pics of L15 GD?
so guys..what do you think it can work with F7pg?? any thoughts?
nay, AA-5 aint worth it ;), now stick to the topic
lol good point Yahoo, and since Mr. Shyain still needs to grow up and find out that many transactions if not majority are done on credit, World Economy cannot function without credit, go ask your Eco teacher
By the Ratings this thread has got, Majority of … seems to be fascinated by flames, no wonder all Pak threads are flamed.
Agosta-90b can stay under water for longer period i guess?
The decision isnt stupid if its going with F7-pg.
and Sd-10 was supposed to be ready in 2005 anyway?
Most likely it would be the AA-10 Alamo. The Ukrainians appear to be making their own on this, and China bought a lot of their stock from the Ukraine.
To use the SD-10 you would have to use a Chinese radar. I’m not sure if China will sell one without the other, or give SD-10 launch codes to a Western firm like FIAR. At least not yet anyway.
Maybe its the other way…FIAR with Source code and ToT must give the stuff (Grifo S-7) to Pakistan , and Pak will work along chinese to modify it to fire SD-10. Grifo S7 *must* have modular software structure, else it is no-no for Pak, I’d pick SD-10 and Chinese Radar over s7 with other crappy missile.
For ppl speculating Sd-10 not comming to Pak, plz..its been stated very clearly by high level officials on both sides it going with JF-17 that goes to Pakistan. No need to speculate anything on this, and so far there are not even rumours about Sd-10 being delayed badly. It has also been mentioned that integration is the only issue needed to be settled.
Also it has been mentioned by officials that ‘SD-10’ is not the *only* BVR missile PAF is persuing.
Another v. important point, according to the article, F7pg radar is being tested, we already know that one isnt going in JF-17 nose, infact its going to F7pg, so that means F7 will be BVR capapble?? no probs..why not π
And again typical journalistic confusionsc an be clearly seen in the article.
China has not refused to sell it, pure specualation, not even logical, not utp specs?? better than majority of BVRs out there ,and proly best among the ones PAF can get, again, not logical speculation, not ready yet, we know its not 100% ready yet, so why speculate on that already??
