One of the articles I read mentioned that PAF will test both of the radars ON THE PLANE, rather than on the paper once the next prototype is ready to go…

killed all my hopes of replacing those engines..they seriously lack thrust…either they cut down the wieght..or increase the thrust…its killing the damn potential…. :'(

One can safely assume that the price of JSF is likely to be more than Rafale..and significantly more…like around ~125 million dollars. With typhoon and Rafale prices in the range of 100 million..its got to be more than that.
that old 40 or 50 million figure is a joke…just to make congress happy.

To be honest, I don’t like the whole mods idea

Ya, that’s obvious, since the whole MOD idea came on the forums, The Indians stopped flamming Pak/Chinese Threads ‘OVERNIGHT’, you dont want me to show that..many regualar indians who posted ‘mostly’ on pakistani/chinese threads for ‘obvious’ reasons went behind the scenes, proly telling all there mates to lets go and vote for Harry….who himself was a flamer/racist once upon a time (go read old posts, no proof needs to be given)..but other 2 mods would keep that in check.
..and kind of funny isnt it…one indians points finger at a member for not being happy with ‘democracy’ and ‘free’ elections..and then you have another indian right below saying quite the opposite.

Arthur has made a very good point point in his last post..infact that’s all it should be really about..cut out the personal and typical India VS Rest of the World flames.

Moscow, 14 April: The Moscow-based Chernyshev Plant, which is part of the MiG Aircraft Corporation, plans to deliver a large batch of RD-93 engines to China.

“The Chinese Super-7 [Chao Qi] aircraft is being fitted with Russian RD-93 power plants. Three aircraft have already been equipped with such engines and are undergoing tests at the moment. Delivery of a large batch of such power plants to China depends on the results of the ongoing tests,” Chernyshev Plant Director-General Aleksandr Novikov told a news conference at the Dvigateli [Engines]-2004 international engine show in Moscow on Wednesday [14 April].

Novikov said that the batch may comprise 500 RD-93s, with the first batch totalling 100 power plants.

“It is a very profitable project for us. We hope the contract will be signed and successfully fulfilled,” Novikov said.
