    Hi Bob

I’d be interested to see any pics/info you have of the R1082 and T1083, TR9F and DF loop setup. Overhauling part of the DF loop shaft at the moment!

    Cheers

what info or pic do you need, I know someone with an original manual and I have a part PDF manual.

Hehehehe :diablo: The “Yankee Zephyr”, as far as I know, existed solely as part of the film “The Race for the Yankee Zephyr”, made here in NZ during the early 1980s. Directed by David Hemmings, starring Ken Wahl, Donald Pleasence and
George Peppard, music by Brian May.

A great cheesy adventure flick with some terrific helicopter flying sequences, but I’m fairly sure no real C-47 was lost without trace carrying gold bullion and whisky!

The Yankee Zephyr was portrayed by a real DC-3, repainted in USAAF colours and sunk in Lake Wakitipu near Queenstown. For filming it was then raised. I saw a print of the aircraft on a local auction website claiming it was a WW2 pic!

yes i know the movie, but aparantly there was a YZ and it went missing.
Question being, Was it found as the picture I looked at claims it was found and restored. there is No mention of this anywhere on the web so far and you would have thought something would be mentioned with the gold as such so i thought i would ask around to see if anyone knew the full story or could confirm the picture..

Hi, Yes, a bit Hazy and you are probably right but it would depend on the interpretation of Product and Service.
It is not a product just a rare item of interests and it’s defiantly not a service.
Regardless, the notice has been removed and there is not much anyone can do about it, Thanks

I think they don’t like advertising there has been discussion on why but my fogged mind can’t remember think it’s to do with if you want to sell it pay to put it in their magazines they been Key Publishing who host the site, fair enough I suppose.

I stand to be corrected if I am wide of the mark !

    Thanks for this advice.
Its a pitty the unit is only available for a few days so I dont think the magazine will help, nevertheless I have had some great offers, but I was just wondering about the notice.
    Thanks again..
