Arnt gulf air based in Bahrain? Im sure thats the reason behind it! All aircraft with the prefix of A40- will become A9C- aircraft.

Does anyone have any idea why Germanwings are stopping their flights to LGW. Inquired at the desk in HAM yesterday for flights in the new year:confused and was told it was for “business” reasons
      😡 😡

From what ive been told. the loads are rather average/poor, and its costing them too much to operate.

Thats hardly any expansion if you think. I was expecting at least 30 new routes to be announced today. but we have had around 15. Much ado about nothing i say….

Great shots Si, Barajas is really nice place to go:rolleyes:

My pick of the bunch is the Air Comet, Eurofly hybrid A330! Tis a nice angle, although its closely followed by the AM 777 in new colours!

From my understanding after reading other forums, MAN will have destinations completely different to what LPL has. They want to have as little repeat routes as possible.

On a different note, now that the first thing including GB is out, will we soon find out the new routes from LGW! SSH and Cyprus and Hurgarda are on the cards for me, and apparently they have been announcing these routes on easyJet flights so…!

May i point you in the direction of my website, http://www.lgw.web-wings.co.uk , then follow to the information pages, and click the spotters link. The easyist place to get to is Location 1, and i expect that will proberly be in your favour for the wind. If your looking for places inside then, unfortunally there is only a small area in departures. Photography is alloud also. Hope you have a good day, what date is it?

Did you have any trouble with the BAA security van that passes by that spot(inside the fence on the windy road),i was at that very spot in the summer and was givin stern instruction to stay on the footpath behind the ditch at the fence,so this restricted me to only arrivig photos and with the thought that the security chap was a tosser!

Yeah he is a bit of a pain. But i didnt get any troubles, but another person did. Maybe its because they see me there every other week or so over the summer!

Excellent shots, Josh. I don’t think I could have stood in that awful weather! 😮

Thanks Michael. Haha, neither could i. When it started to rain, heavily, i went into my hut i made. Yes, if any one would like to use it, i accept checks for £1,000,000 an hour. The hut is located in the hedges, over a busy road. its rather warm. And quite small!!!haha

    Thanks again for comments

    Thanks for your comments guys!
Thanks for the info about G-STRH also Sam, my friends dad who works at the CAA says that there is roughly £2mil of damage! ouch!!!

Tim, if you look at this link to my website it should help you… http://www.lgw.web-wings.co.uk/spotters.html . The biz pics and FCA and FR where taken just down from spot 1. The building that is next to the end of line one is now demolished and is a flat concrete area, this is hopefully the new bizjet apron! The remainder of the shots were taken from spot 1.

    Best Regards

Hi daryl. Welcome to the forums! To answer your question, i think its just how friendly the crew are. Many users on this forum get Cockpit visits when they ask, and im sure many dont. I do whenever i am flying FCA as my mum works for them, but if you ask once you have landed if you can have a quick peak at the flight deck, im sure it would be fine by the crew

Well that is a real shame. Why not get rid of the 733/735 fleet replace them with the A320 fleet and put an order for A319 to take over the 733/35 fleet would seem like a more logical idea to me. What about the 787 orders will they just boost more frequncies on routes or maybe we might see a few new charter routes come in?

Well maybe thats one of the options, but for the next year or so i wouldnt be expecting any change!

As far as i know, the 787s will be deployed on new routes to Caribbean, South East Asia(Middle east) and Australia! The later being the highest priority

The TUI Travel Policy have no intentions so far of disposing of any aircraft. So it will be the two fleets merged into one!
