And Barrie of course. LOL, we had just been for a drive as my friend has only just passed his driving shizzle so he was eager to have a look around, he only cut up 2 buses and 1 van! The shots where taken at 08R end, near the crash gate, however it was from closer to the Airparks carpark. There is one tree in particular you can climb which over looks the RWY, is hard to find though, especially in summer, took us a good 5 or 10 minutes. Up this tree there is space for 2 to stand, and also branches etc to hang all your bags and such from. However, you are up a tree at an airport, so dont be suprised if you get asked to “do one!”

Andrew, the Sata is a schedueled service that happens in the summer, it goes to Ponta Delgada. TAP however are giving there Porto work to PGA, which was operated by a E145 yesterday, we waiting for this to arrive, but it was 20 mins early, which point we were sat in the car having lunch next to the Flight Tavern! So that sucked:S

Michael, hows things going in US? I would much rather your weather! But the last shots where actually the first ones, just whacked em on how photobucket uploaded them!

Im disappointed to be honest. We have known that the base was going to happen for a long time now, but for them to be only start one new route is a little disappointing. Hopefully there is still more to come…

Agreed awesome report mate!

I so want to go to KUL now, maybe I’ll look to go with Air Asia X once they start their services to/from Stansted!(wink wink, nudge nudge Mr Rice!:cool:)

GVA, MXP, JER, CDG, DUS, FRA are all good destinations for BE to start from LBA.

Bold ones are easyJet bases…..

BE on LBA-JER could work too, but the German ones would do better with somebody like Germanwings, or even Lufthansa!:p

Well forum member T5 is off to the states next week to get his, so perhaps you could speak to him to find out more about what he is doing. To me it looks the best option. Alot quicker, and also alot cheaper than the likes of Uni and Oxford Aviation Academy

First Choice: A320 (2), A321 (2), 757-200 (4)
Virgin: 747-400 (2)
SriLankan: A340-300 (2)
easyJet: A319 (2)
Ryanair: 737-800 (6)

Plus lots of GA flying, but they are not airlines:rolleyes:

A name change should be a priorty.

? So Globe Span have bought what is left of the airline, which isnt really much. Just the name and livery i suppose. And you think a name change is priority!

Blimey man! – I think i will buy Oasis Hong Kong, but change the name to Hong Kong Air! lol

James, its going to have new owners and a totally new concept. Its going to be a “normal fare” airline so to speak, not a low fares or budget. Therefore i doubt the rest of the model will follow similar lines

I just hope they dont do Zoom UK again.

What was wrong with Zoom UK? It operated some of the more profitable and imaginative routes within the group, if anything i would rather Ltd. returned rather than Inc.!

The new “Zoom” will have no involvement from its previous owners, the Boyle bros. Hugh Boyle has simple being selling off whats left of it and thats it. The whole management team will be new. I was them all the best if this materializes
