Wow, its been a year already, that really did go by fast! Great thats its still going strong, surely now its only a mater of time until it gets upgraded? But the issue is can NCL support a T7 on the ramp and runway? Might be possible, im just asking you guys, not saying it as a statement…:diablo: I personally think it would be better if they operated the route twice daily, both with 330s. What time is the current one around, morning i presume?

Hey Peter,
Personally i would stay at 26L end if you are flying out tomorrow evening?
I have never used it, and not sure on bus number, but there is a bus to Charlwood cost something rediculous like £1 each way. Just get off there, and walk towards where you see aircraft:rolleyes:
Like i say, i have never used the bus. But it is walkable, and depending on your speed could take around 45 mins. Just continue walking along past 26L end. Walk out onto the dual carrige way. Opposite a dog home place there is a footpath going into a wooded area, go down here. It may be a little overgrown as i dont think it is used much anymore. Anyway, follow this footpath to the end, and you end up in an industrial estate. Keep walking towards the exit and you will see a travelodge infront of you. You are then at a roundabout/crossroads. If you turn right, you can go down to a crash gate. This is the place to go for reg’s only really. Not photographer friendly as there is two fences and a road between yourself and the active. Anyway, back to that crossroads place. If you keep going straight you end up going down a rather busy country road. Keep walking and about a mile or so later you arrive at a pub. Here there is a big layby which is where spotters park, if you have a car, which in your case is a no?
Continue past here untill you reach Air Parks parking. And from there you will see the field with all the spotters in if it is busy/hot/sunny? If not, just stand in it anyway, or if you dont want to risk annoying the angry farmer with the shotgun:D continue walking for 2 mins longer and you reach the 08R crash gate :p from here you can shoot things lineing up!
Hope this helps you

Is it possible that there may have been some confusion between the captain and the first officer. One of them wanted to abort again, but the other disagreed as is would only distress passengers even more. So perhaps the one that wanted to abort second time attempted it, by putting the right engine in reverse thrust. Then the one that wanted to continue possibly continued on with departure and rotated. Seconds later the aircraft would have stalled?
This is just my theory, im sure we will no the truth when the black boxes are revealed and when national geographic make an eposide of air crash investigation

Zoom Airlines sincerely regrets to advise its customers that it has ceased operations with effect from 18:00 UTC on Thursday 28 August.
All flights scheduled to depart from have been cancelled and Zoom’s aircraft have been grounded.
Both Zoom Airlines Inc and Zoom Airlines Ltd, the Canadian and UK airlines, will be filing for insolvency proceedings in their home countries today.
For customers who have future travel plans involving a Zoom flight for which reservations and payment have been made, you should refer to your credit or debit card company to apply for a refund. We have set out details of other airlines who operate the same or similar routes to those flown with Zoom in the hope that this may assist you in making alternative travel plans to replace the flights that you had booked with Zoom.
If your travel arrangements have been made as part of a holiday package originating in the UK and booked through a holiday company, you may be able to make a claim under the CAA’s Air Travel Organiser’s Licence scheme. For information on this, please consult the CAA ATOL website at http://www.atol.org.uk.
Hugh and John Boyle, the founders of Zoom, said today: “We deeply regret the fact that we have been forced to cease all Zoom operations. It is a tragic day for our passengers and more than 600 staff.
“We are desperately sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause passengers and those who have booked flights.
“We have done everything we can to support the airline and left no stone unturned to secure a re-financing package that would have kept our aircraft flying. Even as late as yesterday we had secured a new investment package but the actions of creditors meant we could not continue flying.
“The collapse of Zoom is a result of matter beyond our control. Only last year Zoom Airlines made profit, but that turned into a loss in the last year due to the unprecedented increase in the price of aviation fuel and the economic climate. The price of oil resulted in our fuel bill jumping by nearly $50 million in one year and we could not recover that from passengers who had already booked their flights.
“We would like to thank the many thousands of passengers who chose to travel with Zoom during the last seven years and efforts of the airline’s staff.”
We have been advised that British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are graciously offering special fares to assist Zoom customers that have been displaced by the suspension of our services.
Such a shame to see an airline i am so close with go down…Only 2 months ago i was walking around the office and everything was running like clockwork 🙁
I feel sorry for all the great people i was fortunate enough to meet there, not only Hugh Boyle and Jonathan Hinkles, but the people whos names no-body knows. The ones sat in the office, at the end of the day. Those are the people i feel are worse off in these sort of situation

BBC reported it as the right engine?
They also said that it had one aborted take off, got checked over by engineers then it went again when it had the incident:(
Let Gatwick go too!!!!:D
Nice shots in all 4 threads
@KTYS It is a special paint scheme promoting VW and it belongs to MyAir of Italy
Well i went up to see it. Unfortunally it was dark and the only place my dad would take me was the crash gate half way down:mad: but meh still saw the beast!

Not the best shot because of the fence, diggers, dark and me being a novice but at least its evidence it was there:p
Josh
Thanks for comments guys
Ollie, did you see me! I was stood on the mound looking like a muppet trying to get tanned!
Josh
Nice shots. I’m taking those are taken from the mound on the northern side of the runway?
Its top secret, but yeah it is
Nice shots, why are you not out now!?
Im setting off to Gatwick in an hour or so for some evening photography. The weather is supposed to be crisp down south tonight so hopefully get some orange skies!
Josh
Great shots Si, love the flybe one
Deano, what have you got against Ryanair. I find there livery quite attractive….If you take away the Ryanair writing, the logo on the tail, the yellow cheatline, the blue on the belly and tail and with white engines, i think it looks amazing then!:dev2:
Josh
I dont care, but get on msn! Its been along time! We need to catch up:D
Josh
Haha, im sure i could post some more….Just the best shots allways seem to be the least rare aircraft!!!
