I bought South bank dornier for £3.95 the other month.

    great price and read.

Yes the boy was born in 1972 and was supposed to have a good working knowledge of drawing aircraft cockpits and german uniform insigina.

He was stabbed to death and buried in 1995, the german pilots remains were found and buried in 1997. The boys parents believed they had buried their son twice.

Baxter can remember the code for M9119 being MD119 “NX – T”

Also in his old photo album was a photo of the famous 453 Sq plane, the letterings being “FU-K”. He says where ever it landed, everybody wanted a photo of it. WHY ????

There was a case of a dig without MOD permission but with landowners and relatives permission.

The pilot was found and the authorities contacted.

He went to court but the case was thrown out.

this has come to me word from mouth, is it true?

    Merlin old bud,

I’m not the man i was so may need at least one dinner break if it goes ahead. :p

it looks like the CA doesn’t have as much control over me as first thought fighterace :diablo:

Hopefully, fingers crossed we can all work togethor and make it a success for all.

We have had some pretty strong readings to indicate a sizeable chunk is under ground.

Im expecting a representative to be there when the time comes, fingers crossed. Ive been in doubt for a while about the excavation and insurance issues but i think if all parties concerned are up for it, i dont mind doing all the digging! 😀

I think if anything the CA will keep me or anybody else in this situation on the straight and narrow.

If i put together a decent plan then the CA wont have much to complain. ive already stated today that i will be carrying out stage one, the field walk and will deliberate after each phase on whether i will continue to the next step.

    Good points

i think his huge email he sent when i gained a point of contact threw me, he basically thought the aircraft was nothing special 😮 and nothing new was to gain so thought it should stay where it was.

Im going down another avenue so he can maybe understand my perspective to dig it up, but points of “you only get one go and needs to be done properly” i must agree with him.

granted in certain situations its a no go from the start, example are a couple of crash sites near Hadrians Wall. Thats a no no straight away and a license would never be granted.

MOD point of view is they want to make sure remains were recoverd and no ordnance is left ie german bombers seem to be a no go incase bombs were not dropped.

if these decisions are not in his remit then i will need to gently get him on side.

Ive placed my excavation report to him and its been classed that there shouldnt be any ancient remains but i suppose you never know and dont know what extra maybe unearthed.

The report was detailed and his reply was since so much was known or researched why dig it up at all.

I do want to keep him on side and keep the reputation of the group in place but i am wondering to excavate at all now for any possible site. The world is full of risk assessments.

apologies if recently discussed will have a search for it.

no i would rather stay away from the spoons but i was under the assumption that the County Archeologist needs to aprove the excavation itself and proposal.
