Good news, very good news!
I’m reasonably young and have never seen a Vulcan fly! Makes up for Concorde being grounded in my book.
Happy day for British Aviation 🙂
Well done to the 558 team!

After over an hour of reading this fascinating thread….you’ve lost me…. who shot Bader down again?
I’m in ‘Spoon’ at the moment and don’t have a telly… can anyone post the program on Youtube?
Good to see that people take our national history seriously and that open debate is alive and well.

If you read Sharky Ward’s book, there is mention of a SHAR being guided down using a torch! 😮
What’s the latest?
I want to see it fly…do they have enough cash…can all be saved at the last minute in true British style!
Has someone just found this lot in the loft and decided to make a few quid in time for the summer holiday :p
I gather the Privateer was flying with a fire-services business…. we could do with one of those over here in Spain at the moment!
OK….
Me having illegally entered Tibet via Nepal earlier this year…

The ‘general’ public may be more interested this year than last. A fleeting visit back to the UK last week saw me reading the first parts of the 607 book ( I think that’s what it was called), covering the Black Buck operation. It appeared to be in the bestseller section – someone is interested!
I for one would like to see the Vulcan fly.
Rob,
I have exactly the same thing on my D70s – small dot in the middle of my lense. I turned the camera off, pointed an led hed light at an angle into where the processor is, and there it is – a small ‘thing’ Can’t get rid of it! It alos appears to be on the inside. 🙁
Have you found a solution yet?
Cheers

nice!
Switzerland must have sent over half their airforce for the weekend!
Thanks for posting the shot. Top work fella.
Is that an A7 in the tiger scheme – Portugese I guess?
Did we have 16 tornados in 1984?
I think it might have been part of the tri-nation training program, as Iimagine that in 1984, they would have accounted for the majority of flying fins.
Good luck

I’m a Nikon D70s user, but for the ‘Rambo’ holiday destinations I take my Kodak 6940 – I’ve taken pictures in all climates, at alititude, in the dark, from boats, and of course – of flying things – can’t fault the thing.
Cheap as chips… but a quality camera!
Don’t be taken in by the ‘Canon’ crowd… simply propoganda from ‘read the marketing’ gang 😀
Sorry for not knowing the answer to this..
The light blue Spitfire in the 3 ship formation, is that with the BBMF?
Cheers

didn’t I see on Tomorrows World many moons ago that they built a wave machine in a lake to enable surfing in Arizona? 😉
… under London Bridge of all places! 😀
