Hi All
If it ever comes to moving 724 im sure it can be done, but as 320psi has stated it’s huge task im taking 706 apart to do a wing swap and the amount of work that go’s into it is huge and especially if you want the aircraft to be operational again.

Hi Fluffy
I do think that the lanc represents all the guys who did’nt come back. just think she would look good in an everyday squdron colours insted of a famous lanc.
Scott C
Hi Phil
Thanks for that, im glad u enjoyed it.
Scott C
Hi all
Here’s an idea as the lanc is always painted in famous lanc colours how about picking a lanc that was lost with it’s crew on a very early mission to give a very big thanks to all the guys who didnt last very long who made the ultimate sacrifice for there country.

Hi All
I have read a few acounts of the loss of this Lightning. As far as i knew the remains of XS894 was scrapped on site at Binbrook i have never heard anything about it being sent to the states. The other thing is the conopy being open and then been shut on the shack’s next pass, this is easily explaned. A lightning’s conopy is very heavy and is opened by hydraulic power supplied by a pump on the engine. There is till some pressure left in the system when the engines are not running which would be enough to open the canopy, but the weight of the canopy would soon cause it to close and even quicker if the system was damaged and losing pressure.

Hi All
Ok i guess it was a daft question, Forgive the blurry one i managed to take a lot of blurry pictures that day.
