You don`t know the agro this has caused 🙁
When asking for this translation,the word “git” was regarded as derogetory/swearing.
So I substituted git for cat and they came up with this.

If it`s a boy cat…….AVIDUS PARVUS CATTUS
If it`s a girl cat……..AVIDA PARVA CATTA
If you don`t know it`s gender……PARVUS FELES AVARUS

Ah you see Barry, a 1:48th TSR.2 does exist…..

When doing their test shots, Airfix construct a lager scale model to ensure accuracy when it’s scaled down. They moulded a 1:48th scale to release the 1:72nd scale.

Perhaps you should contact Airfix see what they can do. I’d assume going on their previous kits, that if the 1:72nd TSR.2 seels well, it won’t be too long before a 1:48th scale version appears.

Does anyone try to ‘improve’ on the authenticity by making it look flown, that is putting dirt and mock oil marks around the exhausts

Using a very fine saw,cut off the flying controlls (flaps,ailerons) and re-glue in a drooped config.When planes are parked up,controll pressure falls hence the “droop”
Using very fine drills,open pitot tubes,intakes,gun ports etc.
For weathering,try dry-brushing around exhausts,gun ports,wing roots,etc.
Take a look at planes that actually fly.They AINT clean! Thet do get dirty.Any model that is pristine,in my eyes,is not realistic.
