Its Aries not Ares. Thats the first point. Second I told you to take a shower because you seem like your half asleep asking for the link to the Gripen story and then claiming you were looking for the Forecast Int link.
“I heard somewhere that the tsr. 2 lost out due to political pressure from the US to buy f4’s. Not sure how much truth is in that but it certainly should have been one of the ones which made it”
Are you sure ??? wow! thats excellent news!
Sameer: Please take a shower before posting on the forum.
Saleem doesnt know anything about the PAF all he knows is doughnuts and coffee.
I can see your posting the Link about Pakistans gripens everywhere was it that hard to find a link to that story?
The 1965 War Pakistan Airforce downed more Indian planes i think the ratio was:
2 (Indian planes lost) : 1 (For one Pakistani loss)
The 1971 War: The Ratio was similar, although Pakistan was hammered on the ground the Indians were totally smashed in the air, you can read Chuck Yeagers autobiograpy.
As for the B/S story about Pakistan getting Gripens read this:
Pakistan is buying Mirage 3 & 5 from everywhere because this aircraft its backbone. Dassault has bascially stopped making spare parts and is forceing the current useres to buy its new line of aircrafts.
Aries, your IAF last year bought 60 Mig-21 from an eastern european country, why did they buy those. IAF had to ground its fleet of 29 and 27 because lack of spare from your husky friends and even their fleet of 16 IL-76 only 8 are operational.
PAF still has a very sophisticated and high standard in training pilots and by comparision IAF still lacks behind PAF in skill training, acquiring good quality pilots and the infrastructure to train pilots.

Firstly I am not an Indian please dont insult me.

I beg to differ the Pakistan airforce is no longer what it used to be: it used to hammer every single airforce it encountered ie every single airforce that has fought the Pakistan airforce has suffered higher losses, but now i doubt that will happen, times have changed the PAF is now a part-time airforce.
Calling all Muslims barbaric killers based on the actions of a few mentally ill people is not fair. Its like calling all Germans Nazis, which is racist/sterotypical and above all moronic.
I Hope that you have learnt something Sauron
Can Someone tell me what Ejection seat is to be fitted in this aircraft?
Is it the Martin Baker ejection seat:

Or is it some cheap Chinese imitation?
Pakistan is making an error in judgement here, once again, if they induct these planes into thier fleet its shows just how desperate the Pakistan Airforce has become. If however they use the Mirages for spares then fair enough who can blame them for trying to save money.
Now I find it funny how the Pakistan airforce talks about buying
Gripens/F-16’s/Eurofighters but is buying Ex Libyan Airforce Mirages.
One thing is for sure the Pakistan airforce is not what it used to be, it went from being one of the most highly trained/disciplined and potent airforces to being one that suffers lack of spares/funds/modern planes.
