Hi again, been looking around for the other parts and found some alloy pipe with brackets that looks to be from a plane, it is stamped SAC with the “A” being larger than the S and the C.
    Any ideas??? Pics tomorrow.

Building up a nice wee collection…wonder what else will turn up?

Hi guys, thanks again for all the advice. I dont like the ebay idea myself and am trying to get the owner to stay clear. Ive had some real interest and hope to exchange contact details over the next few days.
I will be in touch with all interested by Monday and post more pictures tomorrow (with the Tayto chrisps) lol.

    Regards Owen…N Ireland

Hi guys, ive looked into ebay and to list it would cost £1.30 + £0.90 per photo so about £10 to list. There is a final value fee of 10% up to a max of £40 so to sell it on ebay would cost around £50.
Mite be the best way to sell it then everyone will see what it sells for.
I think its a great item, i must try and get some more photos later. Should i wash the seat or leave it as it is? Im not going to take to it with a grinder so dont panic lol. I noticed some stamps in the frame work, mite be interesting to see what they read.

Also ive been told that i could be fake so anyone want me to put some random items on/in the seat for the next photos? Nothing expensive maybe a newspaper from this week and some crisps? I really dont mind to prove its not fake.

Thanks for all the replys and offers, once again i wish it was mine. Ive PMed all interested and if you are serious i will give the owner your details.

    Regards Owen..N Ireland

Right lets bring some realism to this thread 10 grand for a flier ( I’ll have some of what he’s on ) this unit as it stands is only worth scrap metal value. As Bruce says all the metal parts could be scrap, the spring units are missing and the adjuster/tensioner is disconnected or missing the seat pan (4 pieces) if they are cracked and or delaminating so without flying out there to survey it then it is worth £500 at a push £1000 might not even be worth the air fare

Hi The Beach, the item is not mine as said its a friends, we have had 5 offers for the seat from this forum for almost 6 times you max estimate. I have had people on other forums show interest too. I thought the £10k price was a bit strong but then recieved offers not far off £10k. It would be sold only the owner seen the £10k mentioned and started wondering if he would get more on ebay? He was also worried about being payed and posting the item of this value.
So if you think its only worth £500-£1000 im sorry you are the lowest bidder, with some luck it will be on ebay soon and we can all see what it makes, or if a private bidder buys it and requests the price stays private this will be the case.

If you could find me some of these seats, in any condition for £500 could you please get me some…Thanks

I wish it was mine to sell, the owner will probably put it back in his barn for another 65 years lol
