Hi,
here’s my MK.3C, it’s a converted MK.2 (with the holes).

The reflective tape covers most of the holes from where the central rail was when it was a MK.2.
cheers,

In the early 90’s I’d try to keep abreast of her policies… I still do nowadays…;)
:eek:I don’t think she was a beauty queen, she was a stripper or something…… and not a good looking stripper!

Belongs to a very good friend, it’s a replica from Deep Blue Yonder (or something like that!). The film and reps have been discussed here on different threads.
Thanks mate!

PS
We have a very limited supply of smiles to choose from on this forum, is there any chance of getting more?
Interesting thread!
What’s the story with the MK IX Spitfire next to a house at the end of the runway at St. Mawgan, near the A3059. (I spotted it on Google earth).

Just a quick look (going by a photo that pops up) it looks like a replica, the wheels, windscreen & prop blades don’t seem right. (I just noticed the donation box with ‘Spitfire fund’ written on it!).
Any info out there?
cheers,
-John
Thanks Mr Door!:)
I’ll do a bit more searching useing the owner’s name,

Lovely photos TEEJ,

I’m a fan of the RAAFs choice of the F-18 many years ago, it’s been pretty good value for money and most are still able to get into the air.

Years ago I was invited to Avalon where the F-18s were being assembled & tested, they were state of the art then, very impressive and not bad for an all-rounder.
They are all pretty long in the tooth now, I’m not sure what the latest with them is because I have lived in Norway for the last eight years.
cheers,

I’m a very BIG on pushing people (parents) to do the right thing when it comes to seats and seatbelts………….
My appartment overlooks a kindergarten and I work at a school, I have seen the following……..
Two cars pull up outside my block (together) with women in the front seat HOLDING babies (they were both from eastern european countries).
Five or six times people takeing their kindergarten aged kids from/or putting then into the back seat where they were either just sitting without any belt or kids seat.
I have lost count how many times I have seen kids climbing around on the back seat of the moveing car they are in.
Just on friday outside my school I saw a couple from africa with two kids in the back seat, the baby was in a correct baby seat, the little three year old was sitting without seat belt or anything.
I thought I’d wait for them to start driveing off and see if they even bother to put the (adult) seatbelt on their boy…….. no!
I walked quickly to them and stopped them, gave them a (nicely put) ear full.
The father/driver said they were just going down the street, of course I told him how he could have his kid killed in a crash 50 meters up the street.
I told them about how they might feel if their boy WAS killed after I had spoken to them and told them exactly where they can buy a seat for him, but he just grinned and thanked me!
Some people should NEVER have kids!
cheers,
-John
