I have to agree. The guys carrying out attacks in France were the same sort who were torching cars a decade ago. They are poorly integrated, an issue that runs both ways in French society apparently. France is quite happy to let immigrants live in squalid conditions with only a minimal chance of any form of upward mobility, and I imagine that if you find teenage males living in such conditions you can quickly build a sleeper cell; giving them direction and a cause where previously there was none. This isn’t a 21st century phenomenon by any means, and to parse the issue down to their religious beliefs is little more than whitewashing a fairly complex issue simply to shore up existing bigotry.
MrBlueSky, you are in no way qualified to question the mental faculties of any other forum members. I think the phrase you were looking for was ‘useful idiot’ not ‘useless idiot’, though I can happily report that you fall fairly easily into both camps; a Schrodinger’s Idiot, if you will.
