I stand by my point, and I don’t think I am contradicting you here or trying to win anything either. Perhaps the difference with this accident is that neither deceased in this case were a friend of any forum members? Post Shoreham there was a definite circling of wagons (or collective burying of heads in sand) on here and other forums. I do find the inconsistency a little odd; that is all. Anybody flippant enough to start commenting on certain known handling characteristics of Hunters, for example, were shot down quickly. A phrase as irreverently worded as ‘didn’t the Yanks trash a lot of them for the same reason’ would have been met with hostility.

Observations/debate/advice wasn’t very welcome in Shoreham threads, I seem to recall. A bit odd to see it being defended now.

To think that some people have the temerity to call commercial aviation boring!

It seems at the moment that you can have one or the other, but not both.

    Very droll.

I don’t see anything wrong in anything Livingstone has said, but the timing was very poor. Allegations of antisemitism within Labour only serve to feed the narrative in some right-wing circles that the party has adopted Islamist views wholesale to score votes in places like Bradford and Luton. Mentioning Hitler also stokes hysterical reporting of Labour as a party in turmoil internally, with unshackled members like Ken spouting off whilst Corbyn (variously compared to Compo from The Last of the Summer Wine or Steptoe) fails to maintain control. Ken is smart, but not smart enough to realise how woefully misinterpreted his comments would be by reporters wishing to portray the party as sailing into dangerous waters.

Nothing. Some people dislike Pampa’s conduct on here, because he doesn’t ever follow up on an initial post and might be making money (shock horror) from traffic going through his site. They make sure their views are known and understood by posting the same thing on every Pampa thread, thus giving the guy more coverage and ‘reach’ on this forum.

…One day grace the UK skies?!? The RAF Dogger Bank Memorial Flypast perhaps! :applause:

I would rather see the money spent on the Shackleton at Coventry.

My view is they knew what they were getting into when they joined. Most are as much use as a chocolate fireguard. This is from personal experience. So work or ****** off!My wife and I have had procedures put back because of these spotty erks! The threat is to work in Australia.
Shows how much they know all the better qualified doctors are already there1

A reasoned and well argued statement. Poster demonstrates consistently excellent use of evidence throughout. Poster demonstrates strong understanding of issues at hand, and introduces personal experience without allowing this to sway opinion. Poster also demonstrates good communication skills, with clear and consistent use of spelling and grammar, without resorting to colloquialisms or obscenities to present argument.
