    RE: Alitalia

Ahh Alitalia that brings back a few memories!I travelled on them around two years ago to Venice from Gatwick on an MD-82.Though I cn’t remember many details from the flight I do remember that the check-in staff at LGW were very ignorent and were not at all cheerful like you expect them to be,though onboard they were actually quite nice.Food was nothing special, also the seats MD-82 were very uncomfortable. The aircraft was quite dirty as well, there were black marks all over it.
I’m not sure why Alitalia have such a bad reputation,it could be because there are quite a few old aircraft, also the flight attendants I have heard are quite snooty (not o nmy flight)which isn’t a very good statement about the airline.

Sorry EGNM I haven’t because the picture I saw was of that Monarch 757 being wet by fire cannons at Faro, not Gibraltar.I will keep looking to see if any come about though.

    RE: France

LOL!Yes that is funny.Who would of thought Senegal would of beaten them! The Senegal team does have some quite good players but still France is a very good side and favourites to win so being beaten by a team ranked much lower than them is a shock and a bit embarrasing for the side.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 31-05-02 AT 03:37 PM (GMT)]It is currently sitting on the ramp at Gib with a very bent fuselage as It appears the unfortuate pilot made a less than smoth arrival and put several sizable wrinkles and ripples plus two 8 inch tears in the fuzalage. Boeing flew in from Seattle to look at it. Reckon they can fix it but the price may exceed the hull value.

Saab 2000 is a civilian aircraft, not my favourite aircraft but I didn’t really think I would be on the boards that long so I jus put down any old name.I kind of regret that now! x(

I hope that we will do alright but i’m doubtful, our team is quite weak compared to others in my opinion.

    RE: your assistance is required

I would say that LGW would be the easiest option but I don’t think LGW has flights to Milan so its not that useful.Your best option in my opinion is through Ciaofly (the new Italian operator)who operate from Milan Parma to Southend, though if they ever start up is another question!
