Not such an aircraft as the boeing 747-600,you ar probably thinking of the 747-500 which was scrapped in fvour of the new sonic cruiser.

RE: A new forum for non aviation related topics???

I have sent an email off to the webmaster asking if it would be possible to create the new forum. Its seems like a popular idea so hopefully in the near future we will have one!
Do you think the idea will be popular with the other two forums?

RE: A new forum for non aviation related topics???

The other magazine which had its own forum was called air action, the magazine for younger aviation enthusiasts. Those to forums were shut down because nobody ever really used them, but i think ths one would work as there are so many members of the 3 forums (800 last time i looked although half the people who register never post!!)and so having a forum which discusses non-aviation related things would be a good idea for the members of the forums to join up together and talk about different hobbies (for example you Rabie,Geforce and Comet with your belgian bear :7 !!!)and to get to know each other a bit better.I think its a pretty good idea.

RE: bmi British Midland set up low cost subsiduary

Isn’t it a bit of a coincidence, that Bmi who have never really shown any interest of starting low cost operations suddenly change there minds when GO announce that they will start operations from EMA?For years they have dominated the airport and have got rid of any real competition such as Aer Lingus,KLM UK which all starte opperations from there.Really i think its a case of Bmi getting a bit jealos of GO who would be competition, and trying to knock then out of EMA!
Over a period you might see bmi’s prices gradually gettig back to there normal price.

RE: The National UK Airport Awards

Yup Andrew i will say Guernsey! :7 Jersey Airport is to modern for what the island needed. Now Guernsey Airport, thats a different story, the terminal is small but it has good facilities;a cafe serving home made food, not many airports have that now!,a duty free shop, bookplus and a florists. The staff are very friendly and are helpful. But the best thing of all is that ther are great viewing areas, the cafe is at ground level and from here you are nice and close to the apron which is good for photos and getting registrations.

The ATR wouldn’t really be needed for British Europeans fleet as their first 78 Dash 8-Q400s are coming into service very soon which have near enougth the same seating capacity as the ATR 72.

A chilling reminder of September 11th,its terrible that someone who is an American who saw the devatsing events of the terrorist attacks can support Osama Bin Laden.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-01-02 AT 09:43 AM (GMT)]Andrewm, the CRJ ‘s are leaving BE’s fleet sometime in the next year or so because they have had a lot of problems with there maintance and there are not many routes in which the CRJ can be used and so they will be replaced by Dash 8-400.

    RE: VLM

VLM seem like a good airlie to fly with,i had family who travelled with them to Dusseldorf Express Airport in the summer and they sid that the service was excellent, friendly and helpful cabin crew, nice food and the aircraft was comfortable, the only problem was that VLM had a tendency of being late on their charter flights they operated here in the C.I in the summer but other than that it was great!
Are you travelling to Antwerp or Brussels with them?

    Southwest Airlines

Southwest airlines, the american version of Ryanair, operate from LA Burbank to San Francisco and to Las Vegas using 737-300’s.

    RE: Dash 8

I really don’t like the aircraft, flew it in September to CDG and i found it very noisy and cramped, but i must admit it looks quite nice.
