    RE: Boeing 747 STtretch

Well actually it won’t be out because boeing are dropping it for the sonic cruiser.Boeing admits has been defeated by rivals airbus with there A380 which will hopefully take to the skys in 2004 (i think)The sonic cruiser will be based on the 777’s cocpit and will cruise at mach.95.

    RE: American, Continental or United?

Well i have been searching around on the web for these three airlines, and out of the three continental seems to be the best.It was voted the best airline of 1996.Worst seems to be united, there attitude to there customers is ‘we don’t care’As for aa they are not recommed by many people.Your best bet is to look around on the internet and see what other people think of them,i went to a website called opinions.com.

    RE: American, Continental or United?

Well i have never been on an american airline before,i always like to stick to british airlines such as virgin or ba.I don’t like travelling ba as i find it to cramped.Flying virgin is excellent, nice food, televisions in front of you and the staff are friendly.I don’t know much about the american airlines but i have heard continentil is all right.Hoping to travel us airways next year to cleveland. To get through a long haul flight.1.take a good book 2.ask to go see the coppit 3.and try and to sleep.

Why not try flying schedule.Charters are for more the family in my opinion. They always seem to be uncomfortable and full of children.I went to majorca 2 years ago on spanair from gatwick.Flight was horrible!!!Next year when i went back i flew gb airways.Hardly any children, excellent service and no delyas.Sceduled airlines seem to be for the more upper clss passenger (probably because there not connected to any big tour operater)

    RE: Colour Schemes

I used to love the old ba colour scheme. With the royal crest.I used to be proud to travel with them. There colour scheme now is horrible!!!in my opinion it is extremely boring and i don’t think there is anything on the aircraft to show they are british(except the name of course)maybe i am wrong.I Sometimes see the old ba colours on the dash 8’s or atp’s which still look good.Having saying ba are a good airline.

Well i will tell you about it geforce. It is very modern with a few shops and restraunts not as nice as guernsey airport, not as friendly. It is very big for such a small island and is not very busy in the winter but is extremely busy in the summer. Many europeean airlines come here in the summer.I still prefure guernsey though.

well living in guernsey jonair i totaly agree with. The staff at the check in area are extremely nice and are always smiling, the cafeteria has lovely food.It never seems to be busy so it doesn’t always feel like airport.Although small it does have a many airlines that come in for example eurowings and vlm.Jonair have you been to the other island, jersey, have you seen that airport?

    RE: Colour Schemes

Well i saw Helios yesterday and it really stood out with the golden god and golden swirls on its tail and the shade of blue was very nice. There was no mistake what airline it was with the large golden writing.I also like the lookof arkias colours.

    RE: Colour Schemes

The most attractive colour schemes i think are,air jamacia, ata, cathy pacific, american west and transbrasil. They all seem to be very colourful and don’t stick to the boring colours other airlines have.
The worst colour schemes i think are on russian and eastern airlines. They all seem to have to much white and grey on them and don’t have interesting logo’s.Aeroflot only has a russian flag on it and a blue stripe and the rest is white.

If you check out the Chek lap kok website http://www.hkairport.com you will find out all sorts of info on the airport.I read that there is a hill next to the entrance corridor where you can watch aircraft on the south runway.BE WARNED THIS CAN GET BUSY.Chep lap kok seems like a great airport, enjoy your trip.

LAST EDITED ON 18-04-01 AT 05:40 PM (GMT)[p]I have also been on a boeing 747 classic of virgin. No computer games i know but there was comedy programs and movies on and there was a few radio stations.Food was ok.A good selection of duty free as well. The flight was delayed 5 hours, something wrong with the engines, although we did get a voucher for 10% discount of our next virgin flight and £20 pound meal vouchers.
