RE: The Best Airport in the world

I loved Monastir airport (Tunisia)when i went their. At first i believed that it would be a small and old airport, but when i arrived their on a british midland a321 it was a nice air conditioned airport.Great duty free shop and a few souvinier shops also great views of the runway and apron and best of all no long lines at the check in.Worst airport has to be Barbadoes grantley adams int.Waited 2 hours at the virgin check in,horrible cafe, waited half an hour at security and an extremely small and hot departure lounge with only one fire exit. And all the flights were delayed.

    RE: aeroplane smell

I always find that the bae 146’s of British European Airways stink of disinfectent and the leather seats smell horrible.Excellent airline though.Does anyone who has travelled with them share my opinion?

I live on the beautiful island of Guernsey in nthe the channel islands. You can get great views from the cafe of the planes boarding.Unfortunetly not many aircraft in the winter but in the summer it is rather busy. The other island Jersey is even extremely busy in the summer i once saw a Boeing 767 of british airways their.

Palmair are based at Bournmouth (I think)They used to fly BAE 146’S under a group called Flightline but now operate Boeing 737-200’S.Destinations include Majorca,Faro,Teneriefe,Malaga and many more. Some flights go via Jersey.I was lucky enougth to travel with them in 1997 on a BAE 146, excellent service and quite good food.Just found out that they were founded in 1957 by Peter Bath of Bath travel who operate Palmair and have 14 weekly flights from Bournmouth and employ 22 cabin crew and carries around 50,000 passenengers a year
