Oh indeed the drop in standards is apparent. Although I cannot comment on the ticket distribution (Always get my paper ticket way before the trip), I can vouch that the in-flight service has definitely dropped in quality. The crew still remains of an excellent standard but compared to what it used to be on domestic services, there is an evident difference. Examples being how I once was eligible to a meal on the short trip to Gatwick, now only a packet of pretzels. However, it is naive to think that BA would stick to this superior service forever. With cost cutting and the risk the increasing popularity of low cost airlines pose, it is no wonder BA has put cost before service.

Well it is sad that this is happening to the former Manx service but what do expect from an airline that cuts so many of their domestic routes?
Pleasing that other airlines passenger figures are up though. I think our BE passenger figures at GCI are up as well after their effort to offer low cost fares.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-02-03 AT 07:12 PM (GMT)]I would think ‘Not Gonna Get Us’ would be their next UK released single. Compared to ’30 Minutes’ it is a much stronger song and seeing that a group’s second single is normally the maker or breaker, I think it would come first. Listening to the song it gets better every time…

I was gonna say why the hell is there a Flybe. aircraft at LHR? Have they successfully gained slots through the government to serve the UK domestic routes? Then sadly I realised that it was a code-share with Air France 🙁 Oh well nice picture!

It probably was never going to suceed in the first place, created out of the former AOM/Air Liberté with no money and no clear plans.

RE: Ryanair Cancel Buzz at Bournemouth

733s are staying from what I know, however, will not be painted in a Ryanair livery- only the Ryanair name will be placed on the aircraft.
Also at least 100 jobs will be lost as part of the airlines restructuring, which includes lowing fairs and cutting half of the route network.

RE: American Airlines to file chapter 11?

I hope they do steer clear of bankruptcy but it is going to take heavy cost cutting just like UAL did. However, at least they are trying to avoid it. In the case of UAL, they failed to except that they would have to file for Chapter 11 until it was inevitable, which came as a huge reality shock.
