RE: Turkish Airlines plane crash
Sadly my hope for there being more than 3 survivors was only marginally true.
My condolences are with the friends and families of those who have lost loved ones. Sad day for Turkey as well, it’s first major accident in numerous years.
RE: BA Fleet news that may interest some of you.
Oh that is great news, I had not heard that GCI would go to a 737, all I had heard was the route was safe until the ATR72s left.
I didn’t know they would operate the 737 into GCI as it is not possible with the runway length unless they operate at a lesser capacity like they have done with the ERJ 145 a few times. Thanks for that Wysiwyg…you have made my day!
RE: Had any snow yet?
I envy you people in the South East sooo much! I have not seen snow in any great quantity over here for 5 years! I suppose my upcoming skiing trip is the only chance I will get to see snow this year 🙁

RE: Euroceltic F27 Crash at Silgo pics
Carl, are the not quitting the LPL-WAT flights? Just as you said there have been a number of serious problems, so much so that I believe they are quitting all the WAT services?
I only think the are staying on the PSO routes.
RE: BA announce new routes from Manchester
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-01-03 AT 07:15 PM (GMT)]Gothenburg is being suspended also from MAN.
From LGW extra flights to Rome, Genoa, Venice, Verona and Naples. An additional weekly flight will operate to Pristina and Krakow. Athens will be reinstated for the summer season.
From LHR,additional services to Brussels, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Larnaca. Services to Belgrade will move from Gatwick to Heathrow.
And then theres the LCY flights…
RE: Air Midwest Beech 1900 crashes in Charlotte, North Carolina
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have lost loved ones.
I guess it becomes more apparent in such a case like this that it could happen to any of us, which is a rather frightful thought.
RE: BA Fleet news that may interest some of you.
Will the 737s be going regional as well from LGW? As if the RJ100s are leaving LGW and the A319s are leaving regional what will happen to LGW’s few regional flights?
From my personal knowledge JER is served with a 737, however, GCI is not only an ATR72,which leaves the fleet next October. If this is the case then I know a full capacity 737 cannot fit in to GCI, so where does that leave the route?
RE: yet another SWISS brand
At least you can identify their own charter division, with BA or LH it is very hard to tell whether or not they are operated schedule or charter. I know the BA flight number ends in ‘C’ if it is charter but that is the only way to varify it.
Anyway great news to see a Swiss expansion.
RE: BA Fleet news that may interest some of you.
Any 737s on regional?
RE: Quiz of the Day — My own Aviation Crossword
