    Here’s a photo of my dad playing with it! He was a W/Op on 102 Squadron Halifaxes – I took him to Elvington for his 84th birthday and he told me it was the trailing aerial. I could ask him questions about the equipment if you want; he still remember his morse!

    Here’s a pic of him with his crew in 1944 – can you tell which is him?

    PS. The equipment in the top left of the first photo is a CD player. I don’t think it was originally in this aircraft.

    I’m a bit of a latecomer but here are some pix of the Halifax at Elvington that Dave Homewood asked for.

    My dad was a wireless operator on Halifaxes and I took him for a tour of the aircraft on his 84th birthday. These photos show the wirless operator’s position and the view looking up to the pilot, plus the navigators position.
