Just for information and interest, I have a copy of a photograph – which I cannot, for some reason, upload to the site – showing a Fa330 in RAF markings being used for trials and lifting from a structure built onto the stern of an RAF Seaplane Tender post-war. The boat is numbered 1506 but no other information has ever come to light.

The Venom is sitting outside the Northern-most hangar of the two that remained at Hendon. The gap between them was filled in with The Dermot Boyle Hall when the Museum was opened. In later years, and even now but I cannot confirm for sure, behind the corner of the hangar sits the Supermarine Stranraer. The galleries that once contained the remarkable artefacts were built out from the Hangar wall to a point just behind the aircraft.

Thought the attached photo may be of interest, one I have had for some years amongst my miscellaneous collection.

The panels are laid out at in the Quantas offices at Sydney airport before their transfer to the RAFM. The owner and donator of them, Geoffrey Wikner, is the gentleman on the left.
