It must be JH-7B, it is ridicolus to build old JH-7A!
I think KMSAM is based on Almaz-Antei MRADS system. KMSAM is kind of hybrid system that use technologies from Russia, American and European.
I agree that Mr. Sweetman’s slights is not biased and is very informative.

Actually Russian Navy is so far looking for Mig-29KUB and RuAf Mig-35. Are there any news about purchasing single seat Mig-29K?
Russians probably will continue to buy Su-35, at least they must. All European contries are getting 4+ gen fighters, and in far east Japans also getting new aircrafts, and Chinese as well… So buying SU-35 is not option it’s mandatory.
There are some fresh news from Russian Airforce, Russian Defense Ministery is preparing order a batch of Mig-35, the order will be around 20-30 aircraft.
According to Jane’s, PAK-FA will fly in 2010 and it will have mach 1.6 supercruise capability with normal T/O weight around 24t.
DEW can be also used against attacker aircraft, who knows may be Russians have already fielded High Power Microwave or EMP warhead into their S-300/S-400 system.
And who is gonna care Greek Court?? Turkey? I don’t think so…
Russian sources claims that they can track LO targets ranges up to 60nm with metric band radars. They say their radar tactically useful against LO targets.

“The CAP capability of Typhoon:
A. Eight AAMs and internal fuel only, flying to the area of 463 km away in 20 minutes, intercepting the enemy and then flying back.”
and how many minutes a F-35 will need, with 4 AAM and full internal fuel, to reach an interception point 463km far away and in 40000feet altiude?
In cold war doctirne interceptors were quite important, because of high flying, high speed bombers; but todays world the threat is just another fighter aircraft and HALE UAVs. F-35 might be good fighter but good fighter doesn’t always mean good interceptor, for example F-5 was good fighter but it has lack speed and max. altitude to inercept cold war threat. So the question is cold war paradigms about interceptors -fast, high flying, good acceleration- vaild or not for the F-35?
I think for good interceptors agility is not so important but speed, acceleration and max altitude is still required for future conflict. Target like Su-35 can climb as much as 59000 feet, in near future PAK-FA may be fly as much as 60000+ feet while keeping high speed; also there will be lots of problems to intercept UAVs that flies more then 65000 feet..
My point was, if the F-35 will succesful against high speed, high altitude, high maneouvering targets.
Its not a silly question, I was considering hypotatical war scenario; no policy, just technology and capabilities of the fighters.
