So sick of readng “J-20 has S-Duct” who gives a ****? If thats the only advantage the J-20 has over current aircraft then give me PAK-FA any bloody day of the week.
Even looks wise, the Russian PAK-FA is MORE of an aircraft than the J-20 ever will be. J-20 looks like something from the eighties, at least the Russian design looks modern!
function more important than looks.
J-20 has ducks bro.
DUCKS!
are you 10?
To say that Ch does not need something like a Su34 is clearly poor envisioned.
That thing (the JH7) obviously can’t fly past ~M1.5 without loosing its wings or fly at high mach nbr at low alt
Even a bunch of Eu country shld get some 34. Just think of all the savings man can make out of trans Med OP. This think was buit with the ETO in mind!
different design same mission
it is like f16 and f18
actually draken and f4 beat f104 and mirage3e hard.
Actually China does not have any place in Asia. It will always hide behind Russia for negotiated settlement.
Priority of Chinese leaders is too keep themselves in power they are in no position to intervene anywhere let alone North Korea. see Libya example. Chinese losses are the highest. Chinese does not have any influence in NK. why so many NK goes to work in Russia? as they want separate income stream.
The list of Russia arms suppliers in Asia is very long. starting from Vietnam, Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, Mongolia, South Korea etc. Russia intentially does not deal with Taiwan/Pakistan/Japan/NK
Only thing Russia worried is the war will weaken economics of SK/China/Japan prematurely. so Russia cannot squeeze them as much for resource prices. At some point Russia will completely cutoff LNG and other supplies from Middleast to Asia. (depending on how fast rearmeanent programes goes). Than it will force its own solution on Asia.
Germany went ahead with Nordstream pipeline but Japan made mistake.http://ajw.asahi.com/article/economy/business/AJ201211050009
lol you can go on any news site. world is begging china to stop north korea. obviously china is asias biggest influence. but even china cannot completely control a loose dog like north korea.
there is more korean in china than russia.
I think that is a No brainier….Any rationale person would believe that a military industrial complex the size of Russia would have black projects.
From what it looks , the J20 has nothing that warrants me to believe it to be superior as a weapons system compared to the Pakfa..In fact, its only an airframe, we do not know the engine, and engine’s are mighty important for any 4.5-5-5.5 gen fighter, We know nothing about level of AESA radar (again mighty important, LPI radar) , nothing about avionics which are probably equally important. We also know nothing about IOC and with what capability.
j20 has many secrecy in it but we know some thing.
we know j20 will use klj5 aesa radar
we know j20 will use ws15 engine
we know j20 has eodas
we know j20 has sduck
we know j20 will use irst since it has a slot. but j20 irst is built in not external like pakfa
very cool.
They are not trying to rescue North Korea; their objective is to overthrow Kim regime and install a pro-China puppet government.
china has to go in to make sure nuclear weapons do not fall in the wrong hands.
North Koreans “dream” of going to south. Tens of thousands risk their lives to go to south each year.
hundreds of thousnads of north koreans go to the north into china. they do not need to risk their life.
china even have autnomous zone for korean minority
Sorry, but once again – if it is not the T50 – this is IMO just another wet-dream !!!
How on earth will they field “a new long-range fighter-interceptor by 2020” if this new type hasn’t arlready flown ???
However if one reads that report correctly it sound much more true: “The Russian Air Force is hoping to receive a new” …. in the same way as there will be peace in Korea, Iran’s fighter will fly soon ….. :diablo:
it is likely export version of j20. not enough time for russia to start new design and get it before 2020. also russia and china are working together on many things now and are very supportive of each other. i know the people in russia have some bias and discrimination to chinese but government to government relation is good and will not be ruined by trolls.
j20 is interceptor size and very stealthy. the bay is big so russia can put its giant missiles inside.
i think the relationship can be very good
russia get interceptor and stealth tech from china
china need russian energy because they have so much. and russian women. china have too many men and russia have too many women, so we can balance this.
The problem is that the Chinese paratroopers, if they are successful in getting into Pyongyang and not shot down by the North Korean air defense, would then face the ROK troops besieging Pyongyang 4 days later; according to the ROK’s war manual, the landing and the siege of Pyongyang is supposed to start 4 days later from the beginning of war.
The lightly armed PLA paratroopers would then have two choices, 1. Fight to the end or 2. Surrender and become ROK POWs. They are surrounded by the ROK/US troops, and no help is coming from mainland.
This is why the ROK is now eager to invade.
Before the nukes, the ROK would have looked the other way even if there were major instabilities going on in North Korea; now the North Korean nukes actually have made the invasion more likely.
Only two automatic triggers are known. 1 A Syrian style popular revolt or political struggle. 2. Either an immediate use of nukes or the transfer of nukes outside of North Korea.
Obviously.
actually in north korea they are trained to distrust and dislike south koreans so the north koreans will fight the south koreans with every single body they have.. they will fight them with their last strenght
china save north korea in the korean war so north koreans do not dare attack their savior
I wouldn’t say an Su-34 clone, but a “strike” variant of the FLANKER, with as much fuel capacity as possible and higher rated hard points makes a lot of sense for the PLAAF, IMHO. At least until they get a 5th gen substitute. The JH-7As just don’t cut the requirement.
china dont need su34 because china already has jh7. if china buy something it has to be a new generation so it will be 5th generation. su34 and jh7 are the same generation.
I am not a smoker. I do thank you for your concerns for my health, though.

Everybody with the exception of Russia wants to invade North Korea at the first available opportunity, even the Japanese cabinet is discussing the North Korea invasion plan.
This common knowledge seems to escape you, just like your knowledge on the PLA structure.
yes, china is the only one who can go into north korea during an emergency and set up an emergency government.
it is like how the americans came into haiti and saved them.
china is the only country north korea can trust
Maybe the first JL-10 = L-15 PLAAF-serial version !??
can this be a better j-7 replacement than jf-17?
china do not support north korea to attack south korea or any country but we will defend north korea if some one tries to invade them.
north korea is in a bad situation and many times china tried to convince them to change the economic system but they are really stubborn and have too much pride. they think they can do everything by themselves.
but we do not support the idea of north koreas enemy using this weakness to their advantage to take over north korea for their own interest.
also russia has no place in north korea. it does not even have a place in asia.
if anything north korea is traditionally and rightfully china’s sphere. North korea was part of china as far back as the Han dynasty
Is this one real ???? … at least I hope so.
yes russian engine is only temporary solution to get the program on time and to test system. but in the long term it is not a good engine. too weak, too old, too fuel unefficient. china will replace it with a modern turbofan.
