I tried to book abz – pml 3 weeks ago for the family in oct and got quoted £840 for 3 pax, went back last week to try again got quoted £2483,went in today through bmi baby and for the same dates in oct got quoted £931.Have booked elsewhere because to be honest i dont have a bl###y clue what they are up to as when you book bmi baby you still get connected to bmi website.I am reasonably sussed in booking flights but pity poor joe blogs booking his yearly trip.To be honest i think they hav lost the plot a little.

If you ever get to Las Vegas try the San Remo Hotel, Room 954 for great views of all the runways. I asked for a room overlooking the airport wasnt sure how it would be viewed post 9/11 but they gave me a great room, spent as much time watching the planes as watching the dice or cards .

Not strictly an airport but at RAF Lossiemouth today we had two Swedish Air Force Gripens serial no 133 and 134 .Very rare for us. Regards Bartboy.

I have just come back from Las Vegas and if you want a good view of the action at mccarran airport book room 594 at the San Remo hotel awesome views of the main runway and a stones throw from the janet terminal. Not really being in to civy stuff im not sure if anything is exotic but saw lots of Southern ,Continental,Delta,American,United movements as well as Canadian charters,America West seemed to be busy but have so many diff types for a low cost op ie a319.b737,b757 , i would have thought that they would concentrate on one kind. Also saw Mexicana and Aviancsa planes from down south.Las vegas is busy almost all the time but the weekends so much more due to the weekend gamblers . Guranteed movements from dawn to dusk.

Not strictly for this forum ,Nimrod MR2and a simulated attack on a Russian spy trawler during a maritime ex in the Atlantic 100ft bomb bay open floor vibrating like a washing machine on heat followed by vertical climb, left wingover, exit stage left sharpish. It also made the flypast after at Pembroke Docks seem almost pedestrian, aaah the life of a Space Cadet was sometimes good.
