Anyone have an idea what its out of? Looks American to me and
post war but i cant match the inspection stamp to any list on the net.
Definatly not Spitfire, but hey why not put that it might be in the description anyway!

Would definatly be interesting to see whats under that padding Mark.
I thought the Hardware in the pics looked like AN but its really
impossable to tell. Looks a good seat if you had the right
place to bolt it into and if some hotrodder doesnt go over the
top in price for it for his old ford coupe!

    Nothing else Graham
It has “SER NO” on the face of the dial but no number?
Anyone think of anything with 3 fuselage tanks that might be around those capacities?
There was some Beaufighter and Mosquito gauges in with it if thats any clue?
And it does have the duel scales for tail down reading.

Thats what I thought Smirky, it wouldnt keep any twin flying for long or any
high HP single for that matter without external tanks?
So what single engined Tail drager has 3 fuselage tanks?
    Thanks for help so far.

    Hi Dave
Thats a couple i hadnt thought of, the Dove is probably ruled out because of the tail down scale. But the Drover being a tail drager and with the possability of haveing extra fuel tanks added for the extra engine would make sense. Ill see if i can find some drover info.
    Thanks

    Hi Chris
I just found a copy of the POH for the beaver on the net and its spot on!
Three tanks under the floor and the capacities match.
Thanks for that Chris and to all others for the great sugestions.

Do they have the tunnel that comes up under the dog kennel?
or the coffee pot that comes apart to listen in on Col.Klinks office?

I think you are right DC, definitely nothing like that on a Bonanza/Baron.
The bolt is just a generic NAS close tolerance bolt and can be used on anything.
I think the shape of the formers and construction are pointing to maybe a gear door
that has fallen off of something fairly large and modern??

    Thanks for your reply Qldspitty
Do any of the inspection stamps or numbers relate to spitfire part books that you have or would the
tropicalization parts have come from another supplier?
Would i be right in thinking that if this is off the tropical intake, that it is a different elbow than a normal spitfire?

    Very nice panel!
The ASI I believe is out of the T35 Vampire trainer, does it have a part number on it? I have been looking for one for a wile so if you don’t need it I would be glad to give it a home.
I have a venom Mach meter but not sure if the sea Venom is the same and
maybe a RPM indicator,I will check both soon.
Heres a link that i hope works to a pic of a RAN Sea Venom in Adelaide, I had a sit in this one a few weeks ago and it all looks fairly undisturbed and original.
