Hi all
Does anyone recognize this part from a Sabre?
Ive asked the seller and it has no markings at all.
most of my Vampire covers have the aircraft id stenciled onto them,
but maybe it wasn’t done with the Sabres?
I’de like to have a bid if anyone can confirm its Sabre.
Thanks to all

Anyone notice the feedback score? Or the recency of the opening of the account? I nearly fell over when I read the price!
Thanks for posting that pic Mark. I remember when i was younger that no trip to Williamstown was compleate untill id had a peek over the fence to see the 707 in the backyard. Do you by any chance have a pic of the way i recall it ended up with the nose “poking ” into the back of the house?
Heres a pic I took wile at the RAAF museam at PT Cook
in Victoria, Australia.
This is a high visability paint scheme used for target towing.
Bit of a shame the inside of the hanger is black as it realy didnt help
with the pics! (That and my lack of skill with a camera)
As a couple of very helpfull peaple on the forum know im also chasing
any 2 seat vampire construction drawings for my fuselage pod rebuild.
Ide love to hear from anyone who has anything.
This is my Vampire when in service. I dont know where or when?
If anyone in Australia has any info or vampire parts im always interested.
Feel free to drop me a line.
Hi guys
I thought i whould mention that theres a seller on the Australian
E-bay motors site that has been listing alot of WW2 surplus type
of lots in the aircraft section. Most of them are listed with AM or OEM part numbers.
I keep seeing things on there that im sure someone must be chasing so it might be worth a look.
(probably not a good place to look for any vampire stuff !! 😉 )
Looks good
The old site has been of great help to me and
i hope i can get my project into the gallery of the new one.
thanks Mark and Bruce
Thanks JDK
I would be interested in coming down for the day, but preferably not on the airshow week. It whould be a great reason to get some restorers from Melbourne and Victoria together. Might even bring my mystery seat down and see if anyone at the museam has any ideas of what it has come out of.
Im pretty flexible as far as dates go so i hope something happens .
Thanks guys
Ive looked at pics of most of the aircraft suggested and couldnt find anything that was a match. Most ot the seats around that era that where in RAAF service are alloy . I had started to wonder if it is from something older?or perhaps something civil although it has definatly been made to have the parachute as a cushion. the possability of the australian vampires having a different seat had crossed my mind as us aussies have a habit of redesigning things for no paticular reason.. Ill try find some T33 info and see where that leads me. While on the subject , I need T35 info as well but ill maybe post another request as the parts im needing are another story. Thanks for the sugestions and info.
