Hi,
Thanks for that Stringbag.
Lee, just out of curiosity do you allow ‘volunteers’ to help out on the RNHF ?
Only reason I ask is that I work at Yeovilton during the day but I am soooooooooooo bored in the evening’s and was looking for thing’s to occupy my time.
Regards
Richy.
Stringbag,
Thank’s for that. The only reason I asked about the Sea Hawk is that I heard somewhere that there was one at Duxford getting ‘fixed’ up ?? I do tend to talk a load of rubbish at the best of times so ignore me if I am on the wrong track 😀
Regards
Richy.
Hi,
Please correct me if I am wrong here 😀
Isn’t the RNHF getting a second Sea Hawk and getting a second Sea Fury ?
Richy.
Well the T22 was an interesting bird i must say. Les, Jacko, any chance of a bit more info on “Project Zabra” that you both mention please?
With the T22, does anyone know if the PR cameras etc were left or removed on conversion?
Richy, just a thought, my photo CD I sent has pressure bulkhead photos, they might help with your bulkhead problem, if not mail me some photos and I will try and match them up for you.
Finally, im going away for a week, so no aviation for me 🙁 , see u all Saturday.
Bex
Ta Bex,
Will pm some piccies to you and will have another look at the CD.
Richy.
Jackonicko,
Hi again,
I have some A.P.’s for the T.22, will dig them out later to see if I can find the official length of the whole airframe.
Richy.
Hi,
The T.22 variant has got two seats. One for the pilot (obviously !!! :p ) and one for the radar operator. Only reason I know this is that I have got a T.22 cockpit. Hope that clears up at least one of your questions.
Cheers
Richy.
I’d be keen to see any photos of your current and previous projects as well if you’d like to share them Simon.
try this link http://www.air-scene-uk.com/hangar/f3s/f2s/zd938.htm
Just out of interest, a good few F3’s were rebuilt i early 90’s using centre/rear sections from retired F2’s, why was this?
Hi,
They were used because a certain ‘so called’ aviation company hired monkey’s to do certain repairs on the fuselages in question !!! Won’t bore you with the details but just to give you an idea, they took out fastners / rivets with a hammer and chisel. Normally that wouldn’t bother me so much but that was the best of the worst !:D
Richy.
Look’s to me like a Stirling control wheel
Richy
Hi all,
Hope to have my Canberra T.22 there, all assuming I can nail things back on in time ???!!:D
Richy.
Hi all,
Just to let you know the PR.7 at Wyton is now housing baked beans. The scrappie did his dastardly deeds last year.:(
Richy.
Trolly Aux,
I would like to say(little late now)that I was impressed, which I was, but the double post was due to cows udderitus !!!!! 😀
Richy.
Hi Bex,
Ta for that, I will e-mail you.
Richy.
Just my luck, I missed it arriving yesterday !!!!
I thought someone out there would have given us the heads up though ??:D
Richy
Hi all. Perhaps someone could give me an answer to this. I was in the Dorset town of Shaftsbury today when a twin (jet) engined airliner came in at about 1,000 feet heading west. The tail fin was painted with an orange logo of some sort, and it was being tailed by two military fighters, one either side and slightly behind of the wings. It flew overhead very slow and disappeared off into the distance. Time was roughly 1 PM, give or take half an hour.
What was it doing?
Hi,
The same aircraft came in low over Yeovilton at about 500 – 1000 ft. The large aircraft I believe was a 757 flanked by two Hawk’s. No idea as to the reason behind this though.

Richy.
Piston provost doing some circuit’s around Yeovilton.:)
