If you click the link on the original post where it says here. It will direct you to the exact location where the shots were taken.
thanks guys 😎
Brilliant Images. Do you know if there are any good locations for viewing low flying military stuff in or around the Loch Lomond area?
Sorry i dont really know any off hand. Although if you live in that area and would like to have a go at a guide that would be good.
There will be a small section on the Scottish borders going online shortly and a bigger update o that later in the year
I am jalous that here in Canada, we don’t get to see anything like this unless we are in Quebec or Alberta. I am in Ontario so I am SOL!
Such a shame with having so many beautiful (proper) mountains.
Lukylad, special forces hercs are a fairly common sight lowlevel.
. They are GtoA’s aren’t they?
.
Yes they are ground to air pictures, sometimes if they see you they give you a wing over or a waggle . In this case he went over a little far then he straightened up then a sharp left banking turn. Shame we never saw him again.
Hi Guys, just a few more from the press day at Yeovilton Last week. Maybe you can spot a familier face or 2.
There is a report on the day, scroll down the page to the link

Looking at those pictures makes me feel so, so angry with our govt who have smashed the axe on these great aircraft 😡
The aircraft were multi-role, highly respected and loved by their pilots.
I don’t care what anyone else says, in my view it’s an absolute disgrace that they are being scrapped early.
Trust me, you are not alone in your thoughts.
I use a canon 10d for scanning large format negs and the quality is amazing.
Rich , i think Dean was reffering to the Sigma lens because he uses the 10D which the canon lens wont work with as the 18-55 is efs mount.
Are you looking for a zoom or a prime ?
I use a Sigma 20mm f1.8 which isnt too bad and reasonably priced, this lens gives a field of view of about 32mm on canon digital. When i put it on a film body its wide angle is awsome. I would only consider a lightweight lens like the 18-55 if i was doing a lot of travelling etc.
Hi!
If anyones on a budget i can highly recommend both this body and lens.
Incidently i also have a Sigma 28-105mm f2.8 lens and rate this highly.Check out some pics at

Dean
Not a bad lens i have one but its back with sigma with a stuck aperture, its been my main dogsbody lens and is very useful. Sigma have brought out a new updated version
135mm lens
Hi most of these were taken with the 135-400mm. Its an ok lens and is not as refined as the luxury lenses most users will talk about ,but mine as been through hell and back at minus 25 dropped in snow drifts .Its got knocked about but for £250 ish it is a bargain, all taken on a canon10d
Dean, yes was taken in Wales.
Olliehomes, thank you for that i have noted it and if i am in them parts i shall have a look.It should be remembered that Lowflying is done in many places but for photography you have to be in the places where the valleys are narrow .
Yes you are very close to the runway, although for the main airshow in july it attracts lots of visiting aircraft which are parked between you and the runway. So it can block your view a little, excellent value for money. The next show is on the first weekend of september
just a few i took of susy yesterday, i havent had time to do the hurricane ones yet

Tell lie i did get a nice one of that enstrom helicopter.
heres another one of susy
