and from Sunday…

Went down t’other end to get some departures too as the normal spot for 09 doesn’t give such good opportunities IMO.

Cheers,
Phil.
Lovely pics – especially the Qatar A330 and Singapore 777
🙂
If I’ve got it right, Jet Airways goes into Terminal 3, arriving from Delhi.
Fantastic shots, what camera do you use Phil? if you don’t mind me asking.
Thanks, guys. 🙂
FP, I use a Canon D60 with a 75-300mm lens.
First one looks more like a Jug to me
😛
Hey Phil
Nice shots 🙂
I saw the CL-415 leaving today – along with a “surprising” Hercules 🙂

Continental at BRS
The first Newark flight into Bristol…
…was yesterday – so I went to see today’s.
There was plenty of bizjet/bizprop traffic too, probably to do with the FA Cup Final.
A wet start gave some “interesting” conditions, but it brightened up nicely during the morning.
Some pics..

Groovy looking Learjet 🙂

Cheers,
Phil.

I’m using a Canon D60 at the moment – with the Canon 75-300 USM MkIII lens.
Just right for a sunny day at BRS 🙂

Nice shots indeed, how did you get high enough to see over that fence though, it proved very obstructive to me at the weekend.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Um – new bit of kit – an image stabilised step ladder :D:dev2:

Hey – keithjs – I recognise that Avenger!

Here’s a couple of mine wot I finished quite recently
(Historic, certainly)

(A historic colour scheme  )

I mainly build 1/48 stuff – and have been building Phantoms more than anything else lately 🙂
Doing a 56 sqn machine now.
Cheers,
Phil.
Great pics, nice variety!
I live in bristol and always fancied a trip out to the airport to take in the view….are there very many places for photography? security a problem?
Yeh – do it, Coanda, its nice up there on a clear day 🙂
As I said – the best place is on the lane running around the western end of the runway. People do stop out on the A38 – only tried it once, but I get very paranoid about the police moving me on, so prefer to play it safe. Besides – the A38 isn’t all that good for piccies anyway.
HTH

To answer the questions – I don’t know why the Challenger was at Bristol, no idea at all. I think I’m correct in saying its not based there either (!). It was nice to see, all the same.
I was standing on a step ladder, yeh, parked up on the lane running around the 09 end of the runway.
